Austin's melt-down was fan-TAS-tic: pure 40's melodrama. It's so rare to see men wail on TV these days....
Also, straight Rob is hot! And not-straight Tim, too.
Apart from Heidi and that bitch from Elle, I LOVE this show.
Seriously, they've also managed to really capture the feel of the design studio/charette environment, and the design challenges have been really cool. It's such field trip back to design school--this show's a keeper.
Plus, it helps me deal with ANTM withdrawal....

Posted: 1/6/05 at 12:45pmI can not wait to see Morgan go all psycho on Jay next week. And, speaking of psycho -- Miss Nora had to cringing on her sofa at home watching herself be caught in lie after lie. I adore Austin, but I'm hoping for Kara to take it all. Her clothes are amazing!

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

Posted: 1/6/05 at 3:58pmMMSam--I agree with you 100%. I thought Austin's corn-husk corset was brilliant, and I loved his BRepublic party dress, but his aesthetic is a bit too....Austin (melodramatic drag queen) for my taste. Kara's clothes are hot!

I got addicted to this show over christmas break and now I can't stay away. I'm just really PO'd cuz I missed this week's show (guess that's what I get for watching south park)

Kara's dress tonight was fab--she is SO America's next top designer.
Straight Rob in his underwear---um...no.
And Austin? Jeez, I'm losing faith--this was two scary/bad designs in a row.

I think I want Austin to be fired just to tune in to his drama -- talk about an interesting episode. Did y'all catch the one where he had an emotional breakdown b/c he had to choose someone from his team to be considered for elimination?
But I do think that he is a great designer.
Did anybody watch it last night? who got voted off? I missed it b/c I was being your typical texan stereotype (I was at a rodeo)

Posted: 1/13/05 at 4:17pmI loved Austin's first couple designs, but the last two - jeez, that so called "wedding" dress was horrible. My 2 favorite Austin moments: sobbing uncontrolably after Victoria was booted, and in an earlier episode where everyone is going out, and he is going to bed, putting on nursing stockings under his pj's!

I'm predicting Kara or Jay to win, and I'm trying not to lose faith in Austin's ability. I can't wait until next wednesday!
