re: Pushing Daisies

The show gets better every week - the writing is just brilliant. There are so many great lines each week (anyone know of any place that keeps track?) - though the topper for me this week had to be "I love you, shovel."

I loved the ending to the episode that was just on, it was so bittersweet.

Lovely as always. I think this is tied with The Office for my favorite, must-see weekly TV.

re: Pushing Daisies

I love this show. It definitely has some of the best lines. I'm a nerd, but I've made a bunch of away messages on AIM with quotes. They're just too good.
"For example, if I should paint my fingernails green - and it just so happens I do paint them green. Well, if anyone should ask me why, I say: 'I think it's pretty!'"

re: Pushing Daisies

by far the best episode yet.

re: Pushing Daisies

The relationship between Chuck and Ned gets more adorable (if that's even possible) each time I watch. Although, I could sympathise with Olive (especially when the narrator says something to the effect of "Although Olive had finished first in the race of life, she had come in second to winning Ned's heart"). What I love most about this show is that I can feel joy and sadness all at once. The ending last night was wonderfully bittersweet.

I was wondering, also, where I could find quotes. That's very good to know.

"I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes and dreamer of improbable dreams." - Doctor Who

"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables

re: Pushing Daisies

My love for this show increases each week. The other day, there was a pie in a commercial for something else, and I turned to my husband and said, "Is it bad that I get excited everytime I see a pie now?" And he said, "No. I know you're excited about Sweeney Todd." To which, I said, "I actually meant Pushing Daisies, but, err, yeah, that too."

re: Pushing Daisies

The first time i ever found Cheno sexy was last night when she was in her jockey silks.

re: Pushing Daisies

For realz, Jon.

I love the show a great deal, especially Lee Pace. But, that whole time Cheno was in her racing outfit, my jaw was on the floor.

re: Pushing Daisies

I saw it for the first time tonight. it's really good. I guess every show now has the actors machine-gun out their lines in order to pack as much in between commercials as they can. still, it's a clever show.

re: Pushing Daisies

The machine gunning of the lines is also supposed to be quirky...sometimes stuff like that makes it seem like the writers are trying too hard to be quirky....it isn't natural. I love the show though! My favorite new show! re: Pushing Daisies It makes me grin!

re: Pushing Daisies

Is Chuck (Anna Friel) really playwright Brian's daughter?

How cool is that?

I would agree with that, but it seems every show is like that now. But I like the show too. the visual aspects of it make up for the machine gunning. I just have to pay closer attention soasnottomissaword. he he

Is Pee-Wee Herman going to be on next week's episode, or did I hallucinate that?
