“I don’t have a problem discussing the topic of somebody being gay, but I do have a problem discussing my personal life,” she said. “You don’t get that part of me. Sorry. We’re not discussing it in our meetings, we’re not discussing it at Cover Girl. They don’t get it, he doesn’t get it” — she gestured upstairs, toward Compere’s office — “nobody gets that. I don’t feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not. Assume whatever you want. You do it anyway.”
Her Highness Still Rules

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Between the guest spots by Latifah & Fey, and Hathaway as host, SNL certainly had a lot of class this week!

She won't come out of the closet. What's so great about that?

Yes, you are entitled to your privacy; however, these are tough times and sometimes a tough stance [i.e., 'yes i am a lesbian, and if you have a problem with that kiss my queenly ass!'] is needed.

Well, because straight celebs are ALWAYS talking about their partners and spouses and selling their wedding pictures to entertainment weeklies.

I appreciate the fact that she doesn't deny anything, but can someone point to some examples where someone who didn't want to talk about their sexuality turned out to be straight?

i believe Jesus didn't talk about his sexuality, and was at most bi if not straight.

Is there a link to Fannie's coming out? i'd love to hear how she put it. i think she's a great, comic, insightful writer.
