Mozilla as in Firefox? Why are you using that on a mac?

I'm using it because the Apple store guy said I could, it works, and because I am a creature of habit.
What's wrong with it?

Well it's just immaterial when a mac comes with the joy that is Safari

*pokes Safari*
It looks funny.
If I try to switch, I'm going to have like 8 THOUSAND questions about it.

I tried Firefox, for a short while, because of the extensions you can download for it but I quickly went back to Safari.

Case in point: can I have multiple homepages? If I choose current when I have tabs, it only gives me one.

Em, if you really do enjoy firefox, maybe try Camino. That's what I use right now, and although it doesn't have the extensions that Firefox has, it's still very easy to use. I especially like the folders of bookmarks and the option to open them in tabs. I have a folder of "blogs" and it's convenient to just open them all in separate tabs at once.

extensions are for firefox as widgets are for mac. Kind of. Or maybe applescripts. They're just handy little things you can use. Some are just kinda of useless, but others are REALLY useful. Like Greasemonkey...but I doubt you'd...need that kind of stuff. Em, what was your screenname again?

That's weird, Em. I use Mozilla and I haven't had any trouble with it, except occasionally (once or twice in the three weeks that I've had it) the laptop mouse scrolling cuts out, but the scroll button on my regular mouse still works. And even that fixes itself if I close Firefox and restart it.

I PMed it to you, Aigoo. I have NO idea what you're talking about.
SS -- I had the same problem with the touchpad scrolling cutting out, and the same solution worked for me.

there's a brief article that sort of skim-compares Firefox, Safari, and Camino.

I started a thread a while ago about Firefox extensions...don't know if they're all compatible with Mac, though I think they are.

Like Aigoo said - not too useful, just fun...some of them are great, though.

I just got my mac two days ago. I'm using Safari, but the second night already it cut out 3 times, and tonight once. I don't know if this is to be expected.

Em, I do not use a Mac, but I had Mozilla for a while on my laptop and it was a nightmare!!! So I am back to IE.

I HATE IE. Hate it. But there's no such thing as IE on Mac. I loved Mozilla on PC -- bells and whistles, but not hard to use.
Jane, what kind of Mac did you get?

Emcee, I got the new iMac, it's pentium (like I k now what that means), it's fast, right? It has a 20 inch screen. Although I don't understand how to work all the p rograms yet, I see it's much easier than those horrible Dells I always had.

Yes, I really don't need a laptop, and I do a lot of printing photographs.

One more bump. I think I might try the Apple message boards, as well. Has anyone used them?
