Actor Bill Paxton Dies at 61.
I'm stunned. Big Love was one of my all-time favorite series.

I'm finding that this saddens me more than I would have expected. Paxton brought so much warmth to so many of his roles. A perfect example is his turn in Titanic. I felt that he brought a humanity to that film that was absolutely necessary for it to work. He seemed like the kind of actor you knew personally, or at least wanted to know. And if anyone should question his range, may I point you to Frailty, a disturbing movie that's difficult to watch, but worth it because of his amazing performance. He was one of our most underrated actors, simply because he made it look so easy. I feel like I'm rambling now, but this loss has totally floored me.

Quiet and perfect in his roles, did not get the attention he deserved. Gone far too soon. Thoughts to his family- RIP

Loved all his film and tv roles. Twister and Titanic were staples of my childhood and I just watched all of the Big Love series this past summer. It sucks to see him go.

I just watched "Big Love" for the firs time a few weeks ago and I really loved it. What a shame, and on Oscar Sunday too.

Gone too soon. I'm a huge fan of the extremely controversial film Boxing Helena which unfortunately won 2 well-deserved Razzies. His career is in no way defined by that movie though. RIP.

If you haven't seen the film Frailty, do so. Bill Paxton stars and directs. Bizarro horror-type film that left me with a smile on my face and saying, "Well played Bill, well played."

No love anywhere for Paxton's performance as the merrily white trash vampire in Biglow's NEAR DARK? Nobody's ever had so much fun being so bad -- after taking a big gulp out of somebody's neck during a bar-room raid, he looks right into the camera, delivers a big bloody grin and announces, "Finger-Lickin' GOOD!"
