Why are there no white scholarships?
PREFACE: I do not see race when I see a person. I like a person based on personality; race, gender, and sexuality aside. This note is not white supremacy (which makes me sick), anti-black or against any other race. Please, do not take it that way. Try to keep your minds as open as possible. People need to stop being so scared to talk about race.
So, why are there no white scholarships?
Why are there no white TV channels?
Or white sections in book stores?
I have talked to several people about this topic the past couple of weeks and I have heard many responses. I have heard that white people have done nothing but enslave and persecute blacks, Native Americans, and now the people of the middle east. I have heard it is because we dragged African Americans over from their "homeland" and hurt their ancestors. I have been told that it is because other race's are picked on by the "white folk".
What?
Slavery was an awful thing, a very very dark time in the history of America. It was sick and wrong for THE PEOPLE OF THAT TIME to do that and for the Africans (who were mostly SOLD, not dragged, by their own tribe leaders) who lived IN THAT TIME PERIOD. However, the fact of the matter is, no one reading this post right now was a slave. Your parents were not slaves, nor were your grandparents... or your great grandparents. Furthermore, I, nor anyone else reading this not has ever enslaved anyone. African Americans nor people of any other race are owed anything by myself or the United States of America. We owe America for allowing us to live here freely.
If you want to complain that we took you from Africa, go back and get the culture shock of you life. The"white folk" are not holding you here, no one is.
Having equal rights means no one is given special treatment. Therefore, there should be no racially based television channels or scholarships. Especially, when there are these things for "the minorities," but not for everyone else.
There should be no minorities. We need to break down the racial walls and just be united as Americans, not united based on the color of our skin.
There should be NO television stations, sections of book stores, scholarships, or benefits based on race in America.
We should all just be considered Americans.
And they must be kept, every race should be entitled to the same treatment, not just some.
This can under no circumstances be considered racist. THIS would be called equal rights.
Also, about the "n word." You know, N_ gg _ _. I have been told that it is okay for black people to call each other that, but it would be considered unacceptable for a white person to say the same word because the black people are not our slaves.
NEWS FLASH:
You are not each others slaves either. That word sounds trashy and ignorant no matter WHO says it. You should not be able to live that double-standard and be okay with it.
In conclusion, the people of America should unite as AMERICANS, not as races.
