Just got here.
A couple of pages ago, Zola said,
"In fact, the slip into greater poverty started three years ago. Each year since 2001, we have experienced greater and greater poverty"
And then Gotham asked,
"What source did this come from?"
Here's the August 26, 2004 press release from the US Census Bureau (if you search further on the Census Bureau site, you'll find all of stats that back up Zola's statement 100% -- poverty sank to the lowest levels in a generation under Clinton, decreasing every year of his administration; it has since increased dramatically every year since 2001 under Bush):
