Has anyone else seen it yet? I did last night, and I LOVED it!! Such a smart, witty, charming movie. And it's a legit western. Not as kiddie as they advertise it to be. When I went, there were nothing but adults in the theatre. Reminded me of when I saw Where the Wild Things Are. It was a children's movie, for adults.

I saw it last weekend and I enjoyed it. It was a very different kind of animated film. Johnny Depp and Isla Fisher's voices suited their characters perfectly.

I saw somewhere that the actors acted out the script with low-rent costumes and props, and it was filmed for the animators to use. I'd very much want to see the actors, as well as the animation.

Yeah, they did. It's such a smart and great idea. They did the same thing with Where The Wild Things Are, which is probably why they reminded me of each other.

I saw it last weekend. The more I think about it, the more I realize how much I appreciated about it. It's a strange, quirky little movie that isn't at all what I expected it to be. It's not funny in a cheap joke set-up kind of way (like Shrek), but in really clever nuances and intelligent writing. And I love that it is truly a Western, in the style of early Clint Eastwood and John Wayne.

This was a nice surprise for me.

My 7 year old wants to see it. Is it something a 7 year old boy would like? Or is it really just for adults?
