Here’s something you don’t see everyday. A former Real World housemate is leaving his days as an MTV reality star in the dust and making a run for Washington. Sean Duffy — who appeared on MTV’s The Real World: Boston in 1997 — is running for Congress.

It boggles the mind, doesn't it.

The question I have is do these people never take into consideration that one of their kids might grow up to be gay (or bi or trans)? How do you live with yourself when a kid comes out after you've actively promoted the denigration of gay people. It's horrifying. If I were that parent, I'd want to put a bullet in my head knowing I caused harm to my own child.

I don't remember her being sweet on the Real World at all. I remember her cracking gay jokes with her boyfriend Puck (before he alienated everyone that is) and dragging everybody to some nasty young Republicans event and getting bitchy when they dared to point out the obvious about the group.

I'm wondering if any of Sean's opponents will pull any of his Real World footage to use against him.... I'm trying to think if he did anything scandalous as well. I think he was on a couple challenges too..... And father of 6....hot damn.
