I was in a store last weekend, and the song Rockin' Robin came on... I immediately was taken back to my old cheerleading days and the routine we used to do to that song!

I hadn't thought about it in years, and I suddenly wanted to dance around the store.

My friend walked away from me. I don't blame him.

Hey, I jsut hate it at the moment because ALL my freinds went to the rich prep Catholic school, and I go the other public, filled with wiggers school.

I do enjoy it though, because I have a bundle of new freinds, but I am so sad becasue I miss my old ones.

AND I DON'T WANT TO GO TO GYM!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!

But... in a few years you'll be paying lots of money to join a gym to stay in shape. So, enjoy it while you can!

And, Elphaba is right - try to find something in high school which makes you happy - and spend your time focusing on that. Create a world which you will look back on fondly.

Elphaba, I was the cheerleader who didn't stick with the pack... I had friends in lots of groups in high school, so I didn't get pegged as one of the b*tches... We had lots of fun, and I just liked having another place to sing and dance about!

Addy, the cheerleaders LOVED ME! So much so that they made sure their boyfriends would no longer bully me! They would get in trouble with those girls if they said so much as 'boo' to me!

No, I only went to the football games for Color Guard and to chill with the “bandos”

It was fun, but a few of my friends couldn’t come because it conflicted with a Jewish holiday

I do. It was included in tuition.

Ooooooo, either the Grease soundtrack or Spice Girls, but it was in 4th grade

Lord of the Rings was the big one but honory mentions go to The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Producers

I think my core values have stayed the same, maybe more liberal, but I think my personality is exactly the same

I think 9/11 will always be my worst memory but personal problems included Anorexia/Bulimia, braces, breaking up with my boyfriend, and my college rejection letters

If I cut school, it was usually to finnish up homework projects at home (CURSE YOU AP EURO!!)

You don't graduate like you do in America! You sit your GCSE's and then leave at 16.

No! Again nothing like in Americas, no cheer leaders or spirit comittee or whatever you call it.

We didn't have a prom! We had a 'party' last afternoon of school where they put food on and you could say bye!

n/a The song of my year 11 was 'shooting star'! It was a hardcore tune!

Don't have yearbooks... only had school photos year 9 and 11 at high school!

Again you leave at 16 so you go to the nearest 6th form college or centre. If you're awkward like me then you go to three lol!

Gymnastics, Swimming, Trampolining, Theatre, Hockey, Tennis, Table Tennis, House Council (the years were split into three!), football and a few random ones.

elphaba ... our fight song was to Minnie Rouser as well. Play that thing 50 times a football game and it gets quite boring, so we had all kinds of random versions that we'd play to tick off the band director. Sadly enough, marching band is pretty much the only thing I miss from HS...it was dorky, sure, but it was fun to compete w/ 150 friends every week.

JL, when I was stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany, the american high schools fight song there was the Rouser......and then when I transfered to Frankfurt, their American high schools tune was Mighty Oregon, from the U of Oregon......where I went to college.

I still smile when I hear the Minne Rouser......
But sadly, 40 years since the school opened, they STILL suck in football.....lost every game again this year......

Choir, Women's Chamber Choir, Orchestra, Academic Decathlon, Habitat for Humanity, a bunch of honor societies. Yeah, I was brushing up my resume. :P

It varied by year because I'm highly teacher-dependent. Sophmore bio was amazing, though.

I briefly had a crush on a guy I'll call A., until I found out he was a bit of a druggy and an asshole.

13) Would you say you've changed a lot since highschool?
Mmm...I think I embraced my inner dork there. So I hope I haven't changed in that respect.

14) What do you miss the most about it?
My circle of friends, which is now scattered all over the globe.

15) Your worst memory of HS?
Thinking I'd failed a final (in English, of all classes) my freshman year, I actually burst out crying in the middle of the hallway. I absolutely hate crying in public. Anyway, as it turned out, I somehow did quite well on the test (I still think I got the answers wrong), so it taught me not to freak out so easily.

16) Did you have a car?
Heck, no.

17) What were your school colors?
Um...black and yellow? I don't remember.

1 Who were your fav. teachers?
My sophmore bio teacher, for being hugely enthusiastic, acidly funny, and willing to dress in drag for school assemblies. He made me interested in biochemistry, for heaven's sake.

My freshman history teacher, for being hysterically funny and somehow managing to teach a lot while keeping the class easy and stress-free. He was so popular he got turned into an administrator, which I thought was a total waste.

Junior chem teacher. Even though I always stunk at his subject, it wasn't his fault, and I appreciated how well he ran the class, especially after the chaos of sophmore chem. Actually, I really liked my freshman chem teacher, too. Too bad I always really, really stunk at chem.

19) Did you own a cell phone in highschool?
I think I finally got one junior year. I was staying after until 7 or so almost every night and when the pay phone went kaput I ran a high risk of being stuck there until my parents came to get me of their own accord. (My school was really far from my house.)

20) Did you leave campus for lunch?
Yes. We were allowed to do so senior year, but I started taking advantage of the privelege as a sophmore. C'mon, we were surrounded by restaurants on 3 sides.

21) If so, where was your fav. place to go eat?
A diner that's since been replaced by a Hooters. I'm sure the boys in the school now appreciate it.

22) Were you always late to class?
Sometimes. Especially that time when I had overlapping classes. (Please don't ask. It makes this little vein in my temple start throbbing just thinking about it.)

23) Did you ever have to stay for Sat. School?
*gasp* In overachiever central? We didn't even have anything like that.

By senior year, even my sense of class-going duty wasn't enough to get me to go to gym.

Yeah. I'm genuinely interested in seeing whether my classmates are Nobel laureates in the making, potheads, or locked up in padded rooms somewhere.

Sure, why not. It was okay!

3) Was your Prom a night to remember?
I remember it. But it was kind of boring. I was one of the few girls who wore black! (In my day, jewel-toned taffetta was all the rage).

4) What was your fav. song you danced to the night of PROM?
More Than Words by Extreme. I don't think I danced to it, but I remember a few of us choir geeks were figuring out the harmonies by the punch table.

Not for sports too much, but definitely for the marching band.

American Pie is always my favorite... it's the last song they play at all of our dances, and for those five minutes it's playing, nothing else matters--like we forget grades and parents and futures, and we just enjoy being kids.

Oh god no.

I went to 4 proms- one at my bf's school when I was a sophomore and it blew. One at my best friend's school and one at mine when I was a junior. Then he and I went to my senior prom since he was closer with my friends. THAT was the night to remember.

Lady In Red, the Beastie Boys block.

Nope, no matter how much one of my best friends (who I went to high school with) and I watch Romy and Michele. Her bf, who we also went to high school with, still has most of his h.s. friends. Therefore, parties at their house almost feels like a reunion.
