My Congressman,John Lewis has passed away. He was a Civil Rights activist who marched with MLK and others. He spent his life fighting for social justice,and spoke out against injustice. May he RIP.

John Lewis fought and won. The civil rights leaders of his time put it all on the line. No one was watching their back. Their hope was that the American people would come around and see the justice of their cause, and they did. They were smart courageous men and women.

Former President Obama will deliver the eulogy at the funeral for Rep. Lewis tomorrow, July 30. Former Presidents Clinton and Bush will attend, and will participate in the services. Former President Carter, age 95 and in fragile health, will not attend.
President Trump will not attend because......uh......well.......
