Romney calls McCain...gasp!...a LIBERAL:

"If you want that kind of a liberal Democratic course as president, then you can vote for him. But those three pieces of legislation, those aren’t conservative. Those aren’t Republican."

McCain calls Romney...gasp!...a FLIP-FLOPPER:

"He has been entirely consistent. He has consistently taken two sides of every major issue, sometimes more than two."

They make Hillary and Obama look like BFFs.

McCain a liberal!?!!? He's one of the most conservative if not THE most conservative voters in the Senate! He might not follow rank and file with the Bushies, but many of their actions belie the core values of the GOP, which does not diminish McCain's conservatism....jeez!

If Mitt will just hammer his exec experience and his talent with making money to those retirees he can win...I'd just run all of McCain's comments about not being very knowledgable about the economy on a constant loop.

Think McCain/Feingold...the Republican establishment apparently hates John McCain SO MUCH for partnering with Democrats on that and other legislation that they are willing to get behind a complete phony like Romney.

The funny thing is, Romney is probably the one who would run the country the way they'd like to see it run.

And I think regular Repubs (people who vote against their economic interests for social issues) are in favor of campaign finance reform. But if they're simply angry that he works with dems, then they are simple partisan sycophants, refusing to contemplate the issue--just like Dems who do the same!

I could say the same thing about Ronald Reagan, and look what happened.

No. Romney's different. My Bush-loving (that's a capital b, folks) sister despises Romney. She even said she would consider voting for Obama over him. Not Hillary, of course, but she might switch to the dark side to go against Wink Martindale.

It is kinda fun watching the Republicans duking it out in Florida.

At the same time, I am still pissed at the Democrats for stripping Florida of their delegates. Its not like the voters had any say in the matter. If, in the end, the delegates are not seated at the convention then Dean (screaming jerk) Pelosi(worthless) and Reid ( can't say the word, I'll be thrown off the board) are telling me my vote does not count and I will not vote in the Presidential race and I will urge every one I know to follow suit. Maybe another loss is what is needed to really reshape the Democrats.

On a side note, because Hillary is ahead in the polls in Florida, the Beige Yuppie and his supporters are actively trying to insure that the Florida delegates are never seated. So much for him trying to bring the Democrats together.

Yeah I googled it after I saw it. Why in the world you call Barack Obama that?

I actually started supporting Obama, and after the campaign so far , I am less than impressed - to put it mildly.

From the way he handled everything with the Clintons, from the way he handled the Donnie McClure situation, from his constant reaching out to homophobic pastors, from the fact he has been very vague in how he would specifically deal with issues, and now , because he is behind in Florida, pushing that the delegates from Florida never be seated, when I see him all I see is a empty suit.

So for me - he is "The Beige Yuppie". Maybe eventually I will be impressed with him too, and I'll keep on watching, but I doubt it.

So now a question for you, do you think it's wise of the DNC to alienate two major states by not seating their delegates at the convention?

Well the DNC said that was what they would do if they moved up their primaries. They voted back in August that if Florida would not reschedule it's primary, they would lose their delegates. I understand your frustration and anger, but why aren't you angry with your state party? They were even offered a compromise by the national party- have a "Straw poll" on the 29th and then elect your delegates later. Now they are left with a meaningless vote and no delegates.

But, really the true villain here is the Republicans. The Florida state legislature picked this ridiculous date to try to ram through a referendum. And again, they've got the Democrats arguing among themselves instead of united and fighting the Republicans. So they've won.

The amount of money it would have cost the Florida Democratic party to have their primary on a different day would have assured that any money they wanted to spend on local campaigns would be gone.

In the end the DNC said that their petty rules mean more than the votes of the people, who had no say in any of this. It's kind of ironic considering what they fought for after the 2000 election, when the republicans stepped on the votes of Floridians. The DNC still can seat the delegates at the convention, their point would have been made and the voters would still get a say.
If the DNC does not do this, I will assume they do not want my vote.

I might add that the RNC threatened the same thing, but they have decided that the voters count more.

So if Florida is given their delegates back how would they be chosen?

Here is a story on it.

"And Kerry said to attach meaning to Florida -- "suggesting something that isn't" -- is yet another example of the kind of politics that Obama wants to end."

And what politics does Obama support - the politics of exclusion?
If this had happened in South Carolina and it was a large black population that was disenfranchized - you can bet the beige yuppie would be singing a different tune.

Edited to answer the question - we are still having an election today , they should be chosen by that. It's also interesting that the only commercials that have played down here have been for Obama - on CNN.

"It's a slur in search of an insult. "

I like that too.

But you never answered my question. Do You think its right, what the DNC is doing? And do You think the delegates should be seated?
