Yeah because no Conservative ever bashed a movie without seeing it cough *LastTemptationOfChrist*cough. The movie came in at #8 this week.Bill Maher's film did better considering it only played on 500 screens. American Carol played on 1,639 screens and will end up making 3.4 million for the weekend. Hardly a hot considering it cost 20 million to make.

A Golden Turkey Award shoe in for sure! The film was not even screened for critics (not a good sign)which is usually a sign of how bad it is. Entertainment Weekly didn't even review it for the magazine. God awful reviews in several of the papers yesterday. It will be out on DVD by Halloween.

It's at 44% on Rotten Tomatoes, but there are only nine reviews so far, and none by top critics.

I think I'd rather watch "Airplane". I watched the first 10 minutes thing......that isn't a film, it's a catastrophe, and hardly what I would even consider funny. I mean, Leslie Neilson throwing a Frisbee that hits someone in the face? Wasn't that done many many times before? Dull trash that people shouldn't waste their time or money on...especially if that was the first 10 minutes.

To think Neilsen once screen tested for the role of Messala in Ben Hur. Obviously, offers were not coming in & he took it for the money. Other than Forbidden Planet, Airplane & The Naked Gun movies he really has not done anything else.

I call them idiots. I mean, 911 happened on a right wing President's watch. Look at all the blunders this President has made over the past 8 years. Anyone who becomes a Bush supporter after 911 is not only a lunatic but they have no sense of reality whatsoever. I do not understand the logic.

There was an interview with Jerry Zucker this week where he said if this film dos not make money or if it is not a hit his career in Hollywood is over. He said he has burned way too many bridges.

Whats ironic is I hear in "An American Carol" they bash the French along with the liberals. Um, no one was willing to distribute this film so they finally got a French distributor to release it. Also, Bill O'Reilly who boycotted the French is in in the film.

The hypocrisy and typical ignorance of the right always floors me!

I always assume that movies put their best stuff in the trailers. If that is the case then this movie looks painful!

OK, An American Carol made this weekend $3,810,000 and came in at number 9 at the box office. It opened in 1,639 theatres.



Religulous came in at number 10. It made $3,500,000 and opened in only 502 theatres. So, American Carol made only $300,000 more and opened in over a thousand more theatres. THAT IS TERRIBLE!

Only Kool Aid drinking red neck yokels are seeing this load of crap. The reviews are terrible. Even Zucker said he does not believe liberals hate America yet that's the message of his film. So, why would you believe one thing and do a film about another?

This movie is Sarah Palin: obviously subpar merchandise that a few desperate defenders are trying to pass off as high-end. Even the commenters on Michelle Malkin's blog couldn't get that excited about it after seeing it.
