Posted: 7/7/04 at 2:09amya kinda really got to know Sondheim. It doesn't jump right out at ya, because a supporting character sings it. But it's part of one of my favorite Sondheim quartets, if that's any help.

so is Sondheim (hot, that is). And Phantom, allegedly. And Raul, certainly. And DT's avatar. And RobbieJ, most likely. And if there is any justice, the present (CJR) and future (Broadway Girl) paramours of BroadwayWorld posters of the biologically female persuasion.
Oh yeah, Phantom, i second that emotion on our host, Rob D.

The duet "Ladies in Their Sensitivities" (Judge/Beadle) builds into a complex quartet with the reprise of the "Kiss Me" duet (Johanna/Anthony) during Act One of SWEENEY TODD. i love that moment in the show, as well as the quintet following the "God That's Good" opening of Act Two. "Oh, look, Johanna, a star..." (throat slit and gurgling)...
