Poor Robbie! He certainly has his demons to deal with. I think he has come to terms with his lack of fame in the US and actually enjoys being able to live a "normal" life here. I know he got a huge kick out of being able to go to stores, Starbucks and restaurants without generating huge attention here. The worst part of it is constantly beign asked if it bothers him to not be a star in America.
He's a terrific perfromer and an awesome guy. I know he'll whip this and be back better than ever.

Seriously, I do too.
He puts on a great show, but lot of his songs are very England-centric (see, I can make up words too!) which is probably why he never caught on here in America.

An awesome talent. It's a shame he/record company could not get the right personnel together to release a CD to get him attention in the States.
He does a great duet with Kylie Minogue called "Kids."

His US record label is primarily to blame. They were simply unable or unwilling to promote him here in America.
His song "Angels" has been named "The best song of the last 25 years" in British polling, and was recently named as the most popular song played at funerals...you can decide if that is an honor or a diss!

Several years ago, I was at Madame Tussaud's in London, and I chuckled at his wax figure, in which he was labeled "The King of Pop." At the time, I thought of him as just another boy bander trying to go solo. If you remember, this was about the same time that Jordan Knight and Joey McIntire were putting out solo albums. I had no idea how revered he was everywhere but here.
Needless to say, I've gained a lot of respect for him since then. Although I never want to see that pulling off the skin video again.
