Anyone buy it? Thoughts?
Robyn - Dancing on my Own (live)
I already got my tix to the Kelis/Robyn concert. Haven't heard the new EP, but word of mouth is off the hook!

I prefer the Dancing On My Own (Radio/Video mix) to the album version. I love the video and her dance moves during the second verse.
Those bitchysnoots over at Pitchfork gave it an 8.5
Damn near pop perfection....so WHY ISN'T THIS BEING PLAYED ON THE RADIO?????
If there was any doubt that the 80s are officially back, this song confirms it. Never heard of Robyn (other than Robyn Hitchcock, which sprung to mind the moment I read the thread title), but the video does leave me wondering why she keeps holding the back of her neck. Cute song that takes me back about 25 years, but her resemblance to Meredith Grey via Madonna's True Blue coiff is a little distracting.
I thought this was about Robyn Byrd...
I was hoping for a follow up to "Baby Let Me Bang Your Box".

Saw the video today--have watched it 5 or 6 times. It's so nice to see her happy. The video didn't really seem to have anything to do with the song, but it was okay. I really enjoyed it--it showed that Robyn makes her fans happy and she loves what she does. After seeing her do so much music that's kind of depressing, it's nice to see her smiling.
i like that single 'dancing on my own'
It is nice to see her smiling. This is the first video of hers that shows her personality, I think.
So I saw the Kelis/Robyn concert last night at Webster Hall and I command you:
DROP EVERYTHING AND GOOOOOOOO!
Robyn blew the f**king roof off that place! I thought she was going to be good, but I didn't think she would be this good. This is a performance on a par with David Byrne in the Stop Making Sense tour or Like A Virgin-era Madonna. Yeah...it's that good. Robyn, on an unadorned stage and accompanied only by a four-member band, danced her ASS OFF and sang like an angel. She is truly an exuberant, born performer and you sit there wondering where the hell she gets the energy. The tour also points up how poorly her handlers have marketed the irresistable, sexy tomboy persona she exudes onstage. Screw the whole "cult popstress" crap...bitch is a flat-out star! There's another show tonight and at an outrageously cheap $25 there's really no reason not to go.
Oh, and it might also be the GAYEST event ever! Not only did I overhear a snippet of shrill conversation: "Ke$ha is WAAAY more Madonna than Gaga has ever been!" but during the break Robyn's recorded "Dancing On My Own" was piped into a full men's room who not only all began singing along at the urinals, but actually harmonized.
The Robyn tour. For God's sake...GO!
Glad you had a good time, borstal. How was Kelis?
Robyn's song with Snoop Dogg leaks..
Kelis was good, but stopped the show halfway through to whip off her wig and fix the sound on her earpiece because she has the flu and was hot and couldn't hear herself. She somewhat wound down after that, but still...she was a trouper for finishing the show. The highlight was "Milkshake" which she mixed up with Madonna's "Holiday". Her set suffered somewhat largely because the lion's share of material was from her most recent CD "Flesh Tone" which has a couple of hot songs, but is otherwise dull.

If there were still tickets available, I'd so go... but I believe they sold out long ago. I wish I could see Robyn. Body Talk Pt 2 leaked yesterday--it's pretty great. :)
