Rock Star INXS - MiG Ayesa was in RENT

I just watched Rockstar INXS tonight and Mig said that he had been in RENT. He played Angel, I think it was in London. Does anyone have any more information about him in RENT? I hope this wasn't posted before!

I've been searching for pictures of him as Angel, but so far haven't found any. I did find a couple of group shots, though. I'll see if I can find them again. I think he was also in Rent in Australia, maybe? I can't remember!

He was also released from his London contract on We Will Rock You to compete in Rock Star.

Mig, did not play angel in the australian production, angel was played by a asian gentleman in australia...also the show was a flop " down under" played Sydney for i think only 6 weeks and Melbourne for 5 weeks..

Interesting...I would have assumed he played Roger, but my vision is altered by his rock star persona.

I think MiG is amazingly talented. I don't think he'll make the band (I'm assuming it will be JD), so I wonder if MiG would be interested in Broadway.

*EDIT* According to that website above, "Miguel Ayesa" was in the Australian production as "Soloist #2" and "the Priest".

I hope it's not JD even though i do semi have to root for him because he's from the east coast of canada where i live. we always go nuts if anyone from the maritimes is in ANYTHING. He's just too cocky for my liking. he knows he's good and he thinks he's the hottest thing in the world. He is hot, i'll give him that, but the cockiness really turns me off. I think it'll be really close between them all, they're all amazing but my pick is still Mig. I'd be happy if Marty won too, i love his song "trees".

Marty is my hometown boy, so of course, I'm rooting for him. I've talked to him a few times and he's a really nice guy.

I don't like JD's personality, either, but must admit he's a great performer. Also, he sounds just like Hutchence when he sings INXS songs and the band may want to play it safe and stick with that.

Suzie is a fabulous vocalist and performer, but I just dont see them taking on a female singer.

Don't get me wrong, I'm full of MiG love, but he doesn't seem to be in his element there. He's awesome, though. Such a sweet guy, and man, those abs!

It was pretty clear from the start that they'd choose a man. I'm glad they finally let Suzy go. She is fine, but her voice just didn't fit on those INXS songs at all.

I'd go with JD.

Mig was not a principal in the Australian RENT.RENT flopped badly in Sydney then moved to Melbourne and did well but was only booked in for about 6 weeks.

In the early 90's he played Ritchie Valens in the Oz production of BUDDY, a role he later played in the West End. If you check Wildcat's fan photos you'll find some shots of him there.
