BUMP!
I has been 3 months since my first post and I tape The View everyday because I love Rosie that much. She brings out the best in the show. When Elisabeth's best friend poured water on her, I almost peed myself. I love how Elisabeth and Rosie have been acting, they seem very close. The absent Barbara is okay, but when she is there, its pretty good. The true gold is Joy and Rosie= their comedic things are hysterical.
Clumsy, I Tivo The View every day too. Rosie and Elisabeth seem to be getting along fine, although I've seen Elisabeth and Joy get into it a few times. Joy & Rosie are indeed hilarious together.
I have always hated Joy Behar, but I dunno. With Rosie it’s like a perfect match.

Definition of Joy Behar - what Bette Midler would be if she had no talent or Bruce Vilanch jokes.
I TIVO it everyday, as well. It's the first thing I watch every night when I get home, while preparing dinner. In fact, I'm watching it right now! I love it and look forward to it every day. Star repulsed me. So, I hadn't watched it with any regularity for the past couple of seasons. Rosie brings a lot to the table. And while they all can be grating at times, overall, I enjoy the lively "hot topics" segments. With the addition of Rosie, somehow even Elizabeth seems less irritating. I find myself actually feeling a little sorry for her at times. Although an opposing view is definitely needed, she's somewhat out of her league. Too bad the opposing view is not coming from someone who's a little bit more articulate and informed.
I watch it at least three times a week all because of Rosie. Her presence on the show has really made it infinitely better.
I was never a fan of Rosie post-talk show, but I absolutely LOVE her on The View.

I'm in 100% agreement with you. I guess it's Rosie's particular form of alchemy, because I never thought anything or anybody could make Elizabeth likable.
I sooooo agree. And I think it's excellent how they show America that we can be on opposite sides of the political field and still like each other, finding middle ground and mutual respect.
What's even more shocking is the normalization of a gay relationship that is taking place every morning. Joy even got Elizabeth to admit she's for gay marriage...as long as it goes through 'the people' (whomever they are...aren't I one of them???). Who knew the display and embracing of a 'traditional'-style relationship could be so revolutionary.

Was never really a regular viewer of 'The View',I only really watched it when they had someone on who I was really interested in.
THE VIEW is better now than it ever was. I don't even find Elizabeth annoying anymore!
I'm also enjoy Elizabeth a litle more now as well. It's surprising how Rosie's had a good effect on her.
I particularly enjoyed this past week with their best friends.

Is Rosie O'Donnell Leaving The View?
December 7, 2006 at 08:22 AM
Rosie O'Donnell, the controversial, outspoken newest member of "The View," revealed yesterday to her studio audience that she had been offered a full-time role on the F/X series "Nip/Tuck," where she had previously appeared in a small role. The opportunity arise because current series star Joely Richardson is taking a year off. The move would require that O'Donnell shoot from Los Angeles for 15 weeks; according to "Access Hollywood," she said this would not cause a conflilct with her View commitments in New York, which caused anyone owning a calendar to scratch their heads.
This is only the latest headline that O'Donnell has made since being invited to join "The View" by Barbara Walters after the ousting of Star Jones, where O'Donnell has since discussed, inter alia, whether Christian extremists are more dangerous to Americans than Muslim extremists; whether people can be "little bit gay"; refusing to tell Bill O'Reilly that yes, she wanted to win the war in Iraq; how pets can help you clean your baby; what her daughter thinks of her pubic hair; and what it takes to make Elisabeth Hasselbeck almost cry.
Interestingly, it was just announced that O'Donnell switched agencies, moving from ICM to Endeavor.

Ummm...has anyone SEEN the clip of Rosie discussing the Danny DeVito interview?

And the cow has the nerve to call Kelly Ripa homophobic????
Who gets to actually watch The View these days with all of these motherf***ing ABC Special News Reports?? If I wanted to watch that ****, I would switch to a 24 hour news channel.

I hate how Elizabeth is getting a free pass on this. I mean, I wish they'd dig up the footage of her not so long ago saying how adamantly opposed she was to gay marriage...actually comparing it to people being able to marry their dog or a toaster. It was vile. As much as I'd like to believe being around Rosie and Kelli and their kids has changed her--and even if that's true--she should have admitted to Joy that she's CHANGED her views, not pretend she's never had them in the first place (which is what she did the other day). I also hate when people hide behind the "let's leave it up to the states" thing (so, some Americans should be entitled to equal rights but screw the ones who live in the bigoted populations). Talk about straddling the fence. It's a total p***y move. It takes much more courage to admit you were wrong.
Rosie was born for television, and usually I love her on The View (watch it every night on my DVR), but Cheno, I agree. The Chinese thing was in poor taste. Her comment about terrorists loving their children, too" (or something akin to that) was ridiculous. For the most part, though, she's really great to watch.

I like that Rosie says whatever she wants. (wrong or right, stupid or smart) She has turned that show into something worth watching. People like what Rosie has to say, they like what she likes. I wish they would have just gotten Rosie, Martha, Rachel and Meghan in one show. That might have been perfect.
Before Joy was just a waste of space, now Rosie validates her existence. Elisabitch is just terrible at interviewing and everyone talks over her. I hate how she sticks to the script during interviews. She is just such a weak personality. I guess though this ensemble talk-show format is very difficult to pull-off any day of the week.
I want them to wish they could get Aisha Tyler for the “black” role. Either her or JLo’s sister. Elisabitch needs an ally.
I think they need to lose some of those lame segments they keep doing. The cheap fashion week was awesome. I’m glad it’s live and I love that everyday they are in the papers. I can’t believe I’m enjoying the View. They need a band! Hmmm maybe they could get Beyonce’s all-girl band when she finishes her tour.
Remember these days?

I agree with you about Elisabeth, but not about Joy. I like her--with the puss on her face and all. She reminds me of my aunts. And anyone who has the fab Susie Essman for a best friend can't be that bad!
I also like that Rosie says what she wants, too, though I sometimes disagree with her and become annoyed. She's really brightened up the show and makes it worth watching. Let's hope they kick Babs to the curb soon. She's losing her mind! She's had a great career but it's time to retire.

I highly doubt Rosie would leave the View, she is making so much money there and seems to be enjoying it. Plus, her family is based in NY and her kids are her life, I don't think she'd do that to her kids- Wasn't that the reason she left her original talk show- to raise her kids?
