Though ABC.com has removed the "Email Rosie" section from "The View"'s webpage, this has gone up in it's stead:
"Tune in on Monday, May 28 for Rosie's last day with The View."
Is Rosie coming back for one final day to get a proper send off?

Posted: 5/27/07 at 8:32pmRosie owes it to her fans to come back at least one day or maybe for one segment to say goodbye. Elizabeth can take a day off. Permanently.

Monday's episode is going to be so awkward- they should just not air it and come in with a new episode- but of course not since the ratings will be very high for the episode. It aslo gives the producers one more day of how to deal with it once they do return.

Posted: 5/27/07 at 8:55pmWell they are advertising Monday's episode as Rosie's last, so the people that watch it just for that are going to wonder why nobody says anything about it being Rosie's last!

Posted: 5/27/07 at 8:58pmwell 'The View'is pretty good about notifying the audience at home that the show is taped by their big ol "PREVIOUSLY RECORDED" banner.

Posted: 5/27/07 at 9:17pmFor me (I live on the West-Coast) the banner always says PREVIOUSLY RECORDED because it airs on the East-Coast first.
#15re: Rosie Returning For One More Day?
Posted: 5/27/07 at 9:22pmI am on the west coast too. and that would mean those banners come up everyday- which i never see. I only see them on Friday's or if east coast is pre-empted and they didn't make a live show.

Posted: 5/27/07 at 9:26pmThey come on right after the main credits while the camera usually does a pan from the back of the audience to a close up on the stage. It isn't a big banner but just a small little one on the side.

It'll go something like this...
Well... I'm sure by now most of you have heard that Rosie has chosen to take an early leave of absence and not return to finish out the season. We here at The View and ABC want you to know that this was her decision and hers alone. She was not asked to leave. It really isn't necessary to get into the nitty gritty details of the events which led her to this decision. If you watched the show last Wednesday, or have been following the news, you already have a pretty good idea. To say the least, Rosie is a very passionate individual. And whether you agreed or disagreed with her views she certainly made it an interesting and memorable year around here. Her presence will be missed by everyone. While we regret her decision, we want to thank her for contribution to the show and wish her all the best in the future.
And then you can change the channel as there won’t be any reason to ever watch the show again.

That's a cheap shot.
Also, someone on the blog asked her if she would return for a goodbye and she said she would have to trust the Executive Producer (Bill Gedde) and she does not.
People forget that her leaving is not only about the fight with Elisabeth, but about how ABC handled it.

It was in the sense that you knew what happened...
especially when Rosie said that Elizabitch + Family could stay at her Miami house.
