Rudeness on the boards?

What is happening? The level of decency on this forum is so low that it's almost depressing. I just read some posts here and there and the overall disrespect and rudeness is through the roof. Is it just the typical theater people? I know how catty, bitter and mean "theater people" can be, so maybe it's just that. I just found the lack of mutual respect kind of upsetting. This may seem trivial, but lately, I've been noticing the behavior of people I come into contact with and it almost seems like it is "un-American" to be accepting and friendly, which is extremely sad.

I know, its awful. It is all the same people too. You can almost bet on the fact that some certain people will write rude comments for no reason at all. It just shows how low people can get. It makes me not want to post at all.

well.. theater is taken way too seriously here... i prefer it for enjoyment, not on how i look at others. can't we all just get along and appreciate it all?


man i feel like the hippie again... i did this a few months ago and that got us nowhere :P

It helps that a few lovely trollish types have joined in the past few days. If I've been rude to them in turn...I'm not exactly sorry for that, but I am sorry I've soured the atmosphere on the board. I'm trying to hold off, but I'm easily provoked. I need to work on that.
