So, are these children good representatives of what Manhattan Marymount is all about? I don't know the institution at all, but by these examples, I'd guess it's where they rehabilitate under-educated delinquents and try to prepare them for some kind of future in the fast-food industry.
OUCH! Dgrant - you have a streak of bitch running through you also - will wonders never cease!LOL...
Will someone please tell me what thread this is stemming from so I can catch up? Thanks.

redhot - I'm just desperately trying to fit in - acceptance is important to me.
Dgrant - I understand completely!

Rath - it's actually a few threads - for the last couple of nights this little group has enjoyed dominating the main board. The particularly uninventive nasty one, munk, gets pretty directly derogatory - which of course leads to all sorts of mayhem, as he desires.
Yes I've noticed Munkustrap. I've also been painfully aware of bronxboundexpress.
"The level of decency on this forum is so low that it's almost depressing."
A subject like this pops up about every other month. The level of rudeness is basically affected by the people who join and get their jollies by offending everyone and thinking they're sooo funny and sooo clever and by those who choose to acknowledge them and respond to their posts. If you want the rudeness to go down, don't take the bait. Block them or ignore them. The moderators won't ban anyone apparently, no matter how offensive, so it is up to each individual to personally ban those who contribute nothing but venom and bile to the board.
Admitting to be an asshole doesn't make being an asshole acceptable, admirable, or amusing. And bragging about being nasty on another post is just as juvenile as begging for compliments or demanding responses to inflammatory remarks. If you're not getting the response you want, then you're probably blocked. And for good reason.
Amen, Matty - Amen!

Matt - exactly right. I engage once, to see if there's a chance they're just unaware of how it's coming across - but if the response is as this is, well then, have a great time by yourselves.
Personally, I won't block anybody, though - it's just too fascinating to watch sometimes.
Sometimes the drama here is the closest thing to a car crash!
but that's just it - I won't watch a car crash either - I've never been a rubbernecker and I don't chase ambulances either - I have too much going on in my own life to find that kind of thing interesting...I guess...
And the offensive folks don't necessarily have to be blocked. Just ignored. The only reason they make vomitous remarks is to get attention. Don't give it to them. Starve them of their attention and usually they wither up and disappear. It's happened before and it can happen again, but as long as you respond to them, you're just feeding the monsters and making them grow.

better'n nascar, bear bating and c*ck fighting all rolled into one. kinda like jack*ss in cyberspace.
yeeeee-haw!
undiscovered - where have you been all my life? Now THATs the kind of quote I like to hear.
"Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength"
Eric Hoffer quotes (American writer, 1902-1983)
"I have learnt silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers."
Kahlil Gibran (1883 - 1931)
""jackass in cyberspace""... papa that's royal. I'm growing to understand you...just a little, not much! What an appropiate term for one "obsessive little bore" who entertains me here!
Folks, rudness in everywhere... and so much easier hiding behind a keyboard. Don't take it to heart. If you're not part of the problem just ignore it and have fun laughing at the trolls!
Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things".
since we're doing quotes:
"I like a guy who knows how to please his man." -- My ex-boyfriend as we were breaking up
Undi..sorry..I didn't even see it...you're right...great minds !!! MWAH.
