DGrant - Munku's trying to get your riled up so he can take the title of Asshole of the Boards. Don't even bother with it. You may be a stale fart but you're a stale fart with insightful posts, so keep on farting!

And I have a feeling I'm one of the people broadwayguy2 has blocked without good reason, but in case I'm not, hello Condescending Bitch! *wave*

*sigh* Why do none of the newbies believe in wit anymore? When I was their age the fun was in coming up with witty retorts that your opponent just couldn't respond to. Which didn't involve 4-letter words or personal insults.

I wouldn't mind all the argumentative posters if said posters would engage their brains!

Oh, they believe in wit, alright. It's just that their idea of "wit" is inane, moronic, and just plain spiteful comments meant to annoy people, and which possess all the insight and forethought of a potty joke. They wouldn't know real wit if it hit them upside the head (as I often long to do.)

"So, are these children good representatives of what Manhattan Marymount is all about? I don't know the institution at all, but by these examples, I'd guess it's where they rehabilitate under-educated delinquents and try to prepare them for some kind of future in the fast-food industry. "

yes and no. A recent transfer student, I too go to Marymount and will be so bold as to assume I wasn't included in this post by DGrant. As far as the college goes, it's a fine school with some fine programs and many wonderfully talented and intelligent students. At the same time, it's shown me that there are still plenty of parents willing to put good money into bad. That sector of spoiled half-wits isn't indicative of the entire student body.

Bway Matt - no, I certainly didn't include you in that group - and honestly, I forgot that you had said you went there, as well. I'm happy to know that it isn't representative of the school. There are people like this everywhere.

DGrant, good to know. I wasn't certain if I'd said anything to add to the madness. I can certainly understand how one could get that perception of Marymount based on the low quality of some of those posts. Sadly this ignorance runs much too deep to be attributed to any number of schools/institutions. If people want to stay ignorant, they have an amazing ability to succeed against the odds.

I'd like to start a thread called "Stupidity on the boards" however, it would be quickly deleted. Dammit.

You know, normally when people start threads bemoaning "negativity" on the boards, I tell them you can't have discussion without negativity.

Now I'm tempted to take a few people and give them a big ol' dose of some kind of happy pill. Because the trolls are really getting out of hand since the king of them joined. Updated On: 11/9/04 at 03:30 PM

what's buckshot? I haven't peppered a backside yet. Or maybe I have, since i've been a card-carrying fag since 1984. And if I haven't peppered a backside, what does it entail?

i rarely post on the main message boards. it's been infiltrated by a bunch of snot nosed know-it-all little twits whose theatre knowledge doesn't go back farther than "rent".

the ignorance reeks. i can understand differences in opinion and i can surely handle an intelligent discussion but ha;f of these geeks start threads dragging performers through the mud and then don't have anything intelligent to back their opinions up.

it's one thing to not like a performer or a show, it's another to come on here and literally post downright nasty putdowns.

even worse are those that try to correct other posters with what they belive to be "correct information"...and the info they have is just as incorrect.

i rarely even post anything now.

actually it's not as fun on these boards as it used to be.

and i refuse to get into a battle of wits with the unarmed.
