I can only surmise. I think most people on the left live in a world where merit is irrelevant. Theirs is a world in which connections, networking, kissing ass and obedient sameness are rewarded. I am the antithesis of all that. I am a legitimate, achieved and accomplished Number One and I've made it on my own and without them and without having followed their proscriptions. I think they are also jealous that I just sold my NY condo for a 125 percent profit while their homes are worthlessly underwater.
Funny thing....a number of my friends sent me the Daily Caller piece and the most shocking thing to them in the story was the advocacy of having government shut down Fox News. That the left wants me dead was not a big deal to them because it was nothing new to them. I think that's hilarious. And about that: how about the LAW professor who thinks the FCC can pull Fox's license? Fox does not have a license. The FCC does not grant Fox its right to exist. And this guy teaches law.

WOW! Limbaugh Sounds Off!
From Miss Betty Bowers:
"Rush Limbaugh goes deaf and Glenn Beck goes blind. And people still think the Lord is too clumsy to channel His vindictiveness to pull off a nuanced metaphor!"
It is the height of arrogance and blithe ignorance that the BLIND Obama followers attempt to assign and explain the motives of God. It is also a shame that they think all God does is punish.
I feel sorry for them and their God.

Just a factual footnote:
None of the statements Rush made have been challenged by you in any way. This is VERY telling.

When you say "Blind Obama followers" do you include yourself? You are an Obama follower, are you not?
I WAS an Obama voter and follower. The disappointment is growing by the day.

Rush is a wonderful Radio Personality- his show is very well structured and his propaganda methods are impeccable. Fox news would not exist today were it not for Rush's "manufactured controversy" techniques.
But the funny thing about Rush is he adopted conservatism as a way to get paid. If he'd been successful as a Rock DJ he'd be hawking Clearasil and say not a word about politics. He never voted for Reagan- indeed, he never voted at all until someone made an issue of him not even being registered and he grudgingly registered to vote for the first time in 1992.
Once again, no facts, and not even any logic. The mutterings of a a blithering, confused person.
"None of the statements Rush made have been challenged by you in any way. This is VERY telling."
I don't have either the time or the stomach to read such crap! You go and enjoy, anyway.

Count, Is that your assessment of Rush? I think you are a little harsh on him but I guess I understand you better now that you've told us you are anti-war, in favor of a progressive tax code and a champion of liberal ideals. Do you listen to Rush?
Joe: You make some good points.
I have learned that when I need to know something about Rush I must listen to Rush himself and not what others (who do not listen) write about him.

I agree- I've listened to him quite frequently but found it more and more difficult as I heard him over and over saying things that were not true or distorting other people's words and positions to make his points.
Didn't you find it difficult as an Obama supporter to hear him spread the completely false stories that Michelle Obama had gorged on thousands and thousands of dollars worth of lobster caviar and champagne during the Democratic convention- even after it had been proven that the "bill" was a forgery and that the Obamas hadn't even stayed at the hotel that supposedly delivered the room serive feast?
Or what about when Rush jumped on the lie that Barack Obama had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a "Thank You" diamond ring for Michelle, repeating it over and over again long after it had been completely disproved?
It was those types of things that made it hard to take him seriously and continue to listen to his show when I was never sure from moment to moment if what he was reporting had any validity.
As a Barack Obama supporter, how do you put up with that kind of behavior? Didn't it make you angry?
I don't listen all the time. And yes, Rush has made me mad. But when he received the same treatment as Shirley Sherrod, no one corrected the record.

Really? Remind me of some of those times, as I seem to recall differently. He's never been forced to resign, for example, and it seems like in addition to the #1 news network solidly in his corner, he seems to have a gallery of supporters who will rush to his defense when he is attacked.
Please, share with us some of those times Rush's words were distorted and he's had to unjustly suffer because of it without anyone to stand with him "correcting the record."
The fact that the LA Times was the first media outlet to promote the idea of "Barack the Magic Negro" yet Maddow and MessNBC blamed Rush.
The LA Times: Barack the Magic Negro!

Keep defending him HD.

The question was when was Rush taken out of context. I provided a stellar example.
I just listed 10 examples. Even provided audio for you and you STILL defend Rush. Guess the facts are too much for you to deal with because you always run away avoiding an explanation when the truth is not in your favor. What a scumbag!

Again Count you seem to delight is twisting my words- I did not say he was never "Taken out of context"- of course he is because unless you play his entire 3-hour show, ANY clip is "out of Context." What I said was "Please, share with us some of those times Rush's words were distorted and he's had to unjustly suffer because of it without anyone to stand with him "correcting the record.""
So your example is the kerfluffle over "Barack the Magic Negro." OK. Well first I don't think he "suffered" anything because of this incident, but I KNOW if he did he did NOT "Suffer" alone:
"Oh, give me a super-sized break...All of sudden — after eight years of “F**k Bush” bumper stickers and “Kill Bush” assassination chic and Bush-or-Chimp parodies — the left is concerned about insulting the office of the Presidency?"
By Michelle Malkin • December 29, 2008
"I want to get – I want Dr. Hill to clarify one thing. What is mean-spirited? What’s mean-spirited about satirizing Al Sharpton’s disenchantment that Barack Obama stole the spotlight? What is mean- spirited about that?"
By Bill O'Reilly December 30, 2008
""I think most people recognize political satire when they see it," Tennessee Republican Chip Saltsman told CNN. "I think RNC members understand that.""

"When I found out what this was about I had to ask, 'Boy, what's the big deal here?' because there wasn't any."
Mark Ellis, the GOP state chairman in Maine 12/30/2008
"I’m defending Rush Limbaugh....it is a perfectly appropriate thing to point out absurdity through use of the absurd."
Kate Obenshain, VP Young America’s Foundation, ON MSNBC 12/20/2008
And I do recall it getting pretty much wall-to-wall Fox coverage- and I don't think even Juan Williams attacked Rush.
GREAT WORK!! You're right again. Thanks for the insights!
And Rush was great today in pointing out his response to the vitriol and hate pointed in his direction.
Every time they do that, his audience and his influence increase.

Ah so we agree- Rush certainly has a well-paid and highly visible army of defenders and is all but immune to attacks- he certainly hasn't lost his job from people making false charges against him. So your assessment of him was incorrect? Would you agree that you got that false picture of him as a hapless victim of smears by the left from his very own program? I think this is why it's important to engage in discussions with people of varying backgrounds- if your beliefs can't stand up to scrutiny, then perhaps they aren't worth holding.
And you agree Shirley Sherrod got a raw deal- what do you think should happen to those responsible? Do you think she should sue Breitbart and Fox? Should they be made to pay restitution?
Maddow nails it.
Scaring white people for fun and profit!
Joe: Obama and Vilsack are totally responsible. Breitbart was set up. News outlets misreport and misrepresent every day. I agree with that. What should be done about poor reporting?
