Well, some arguments are so ridiculous they're not even worth addressing, Namo!
I am not sitting here hoping and wishing for the man to die, but will I be sad if he does? No, I will not. Will I be calling my friends to cheerfully announce, "Ding dong, the witch is dead"? No, I will not. Will I see it as a terrible loss to humanity? No, I will not.
How am I contributing to Romantico's "us" versus "them" mentality when he stated up front that he "despises" this poor man who now lies in an intensive care unit fighting for his life? "Despising" is worse than wishing someone would die because it's "active" and "progressive." There's no closure, no end to the hatred. So the "we" he's referring to is the same as the "they," in my book

Wow, I'm not even high and I understood that!
When Rush dies I will feel nothing. Which is the worst case scenario for a guy like him.

When he kicks it I can't wait until Glenn Beck hops on the scene and blubbers like a b*tch. It'll be like Kirk and Spock in Star Trek minus the kindness and decency part. KHAN!!!!!
Thanks, Namo, I'm honored. (I'm impressed I WROTE that without being high.)
Glenn Beck. Now, there's someone I would call my friends up to announce, "Ding dong, the witch is dead." Rush Limbaugh is tragi-comedy. Glenn Beck is horror.
I have a hard-time mustering up any sympathy for him.
Not gonna lie, the world would be a better place without this piece of hyperbolic garbage.
To quote a little known lyricist/composer:
They all deserve to die.
Tell you why, Mrs. Lovett, tell you why.
Because in all of the whole human race
Mrs. Lovett, there are two kinds of men and only two
There's the one staying put in his proper place
And the one with his foot in the other one's face
(I think that was by Jim Coyler, but I can't remember)

SOmeone once said something about the future being an army boot stamping on a human face, forever.
If the face was Limbaugh's, I wouldn't have a problem.
An army boot would be good. Or a stiletto in the eye.
I wish him well ......... in the afterlife.

If he wasn't dead, why would I have a picture with the two dates on it like that?
RIP, Rush. Sorry you died.

Well, he's dead to me in any event.
LOL
But the real conundrum is, was he ever really alive?
I mean, there is some evidence that he was spawn from the bowels of hell in the first place. Maybe good 'ol Lucy called him back.

Wow, the hatemongers really come out. There are a lot of liberals that I don't like, but I never wish them dead.
Obviously none of you listen to Rush. His show is about context. You just hear the snippets that are taken out of context and jump to huge conclusions about what he is saying. Listen to his show all the way through sometime. He is the master of satire and that's what drives his critics crazy. If he stops broadcasting people like Keith Olberman will not have a career.
I'm not a hatemonger. I just hope he dies. Painfully.

Double your pleasure, double your fun, with BWW double post.
Then you better be watching your own back Mr. Gothy.
Plus, a painful death is exactly what he has coming to him.
He is a racist and homophobe who uses his radio show to spread hate.
Karma, I believe, is making its entrance.

Like I said, I never wish anyone dead. Just as far away from me as possible.

It's going to be hard to type this, since my eyes have rolled so far in the back of my head after reading goth's post they look like Linda Blair's in The Exorcist.
I love the three times a year when Goth tries to take the high road, in direct opposition to the rest of his posts.
Rush Limbaugh, "a master of satire"? Puuuuhhhhhhhleeeeeeeze, Mary. He occasionally approaches the level of the reject pile from Cracked Magazine, a MAD Magazine imitator, now deceased.
Stephen Colbert at the White House Press Correspondents Dinner... THAT was master satire. Limbaugh isn't worthy to touch the hem of Colbert's garment.
Remember when someone once posted that Ted Kennedy should die already, and the whole board went berserk? Know your audience I guess is the moral of that story.

Who wished for the guy to die? Not I? It's not my fault that his excessive living caused him to die.
And I think it's really rich to call anyone in this thread a hatemonger, when the topic at hand is Rush Effing Limbaugh.
Why should anyone have to take the high road? Did the man ever show a shred of sympathy for anyone who didn't follow his ideology in lockstep?

No I don't remember that.
