Rush Limbaugh: 'Thank God for President Obama'

Hell has officially frozen over.

Rush Limbaugh did something he rarely does: he praised President Obama on his Monday show for the death of Osama bin Laden.

"We need to open the program today by congratulating President Obama," he said. "President Obama has done something extremely effective, and when he does, this needs to be pointed out."

The effectiveness, he said, came from President Obama's decision to send a Special Forces team to kill bin Laden--something he said, citing news reports, that none of the president's military advisers had thought of doing.

"Our military wanted to go in there and just scorch the earth...but President Obama single-handedly understood what was at stake here. He alone understood the need to get DNA to prove the death...it was President Obama single-handedly and alone who came up with the strategy that brought about the effective assassination of Osama bin Laden," he said, adding, "thank God for President Obama."

Seems like Limbaugh, Trump, Cheney, and Rumsfeld have all been gracious about giving Obama credit for this success. Most of the GOP presidential hopefuls have been less specific in their praise.

I am still waiting for Trump to take credit for it. The former president Bush(W),Cheney, and Rumsfeld have been very gracious, and kind with their praise (and rightfully so) As far as Mr. Limbaugh is concerned I am waiting for the second shoe to drop, or maybe he is on happy meds today?

Well, Rush DID IN FACT Praise him. He sounded sincere at first. Maybe he got so much hate mail and calls he decided to do some damage control and take back his praise.I took Rush on his word just because everyone from Dick Cheney,John Boehner,and pretty much every Republican has praised Obama.

As I've said before, you have to listen to Rush's entire program. You can't cut snippets from his broadcast and claim he made certain comments. You have to listen to the whole thing in context to get what he's saying.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Goth do you really believe that? WHat other radio host or commentator is like that? I know of no one who requires you to listen to their entire program to see where they are on a certain issue. SO, are you saying if Rush praises Obama in the first hour by the second hour he might change his mind and therefore take back his praise that he gave in the first hour? By me saying Rush praised Obama is me taking Rush out of context? Do you know how stupid that sounds? Is this the kind of logic the right wing has taught their ditto heads?

You have to listen to Rush Limbaugh for 4 hours to know where he stands on an issue because he may change his mind throughout the show. Oh Puh-Lease!

I never said he changes his mind. He will say something in the first hour that he builds on in the second hour. If you just caught the first hour, you might not understand what he was building up to.

If you had listened to the entire program today, his point was "Thank God Obama continued the Bush policies and now bin Laden is dead because Obama followed the Bush policies." Obviously you missed the part where Rush talked about how self-centered Obama is. When Obama gave the speech last night, he mentioned himself more than 10 times.

Rush has all the liberals falling over themselves about Rush praising Obama. Rush is laughing himself silly because he wasn't praising Obama. But if you don't listen to the program, you don't know that.

Romantico Here are some facts

The First WTC attack - Clinton
The Attack on the USS Cole - Clinton
Blackhawk Down - Clinton

Clinton was in power 8 years while all these happened & Bin Laden built up & got a pass. He (Clinton) had many chances to have Osama given to him on a silver platter 3 times & he turned down the offer 3 times. GWB was in power a mere 8 months when 9/11 happened.. Playing the blame game serves no purpose

Does Obama deserve credit yes but the main credit goes to the intelligence community & the troops who pulled it off.Is the world better off without him yes.

Osama was reduced to a figurehead by GWB policies of going after him. It continued with Obamas policies. Had GWB tried drone attacks everyone would have been on him like flies on ****.Getting Osama was like lancing an annoying boil you have had for years & not curing terminal cancer. Job well done to all and yes we should bask in the moment.Now on to the myriad other problems affecting us.

Someone out of work 2 years losing his or her home with no job prospects somehow feels getting a job is a tad more important than this.If you lost somoeone I understand how your feeling is more visceral.

All politicians refer to themselves frequently--they are egoists and egotists--and that goes for Democrats and Republicans alike.

Some are even egomaniacs and megalomaniacs, but Barack Obama is NOT one of the most egotistical, by a long shot.

On the Republican side, Nixon and Reagan referred to themselves constantly, and on the Democratic side, Clinton was the biggest.

But Obama? That's just painting him with the wrong brush.
