Not the face, Mr. Crow! Not the face!

This is so unbelievably unsurprising that I almost don't care.

I'm with bwaysinger. This is the man who beat up the guy who edited his acceptance speech from the transmission of the Baftas. He's a tool.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Hey, according to Justice when incessantly babbling about AI's Scott Savol, everyone chucks a phone at someone else every once in awhile so what's the big deal?

Statement from Crowe's publicist:
"Frustrated by a clerk's unwillingness to help him put through a phone call to his family in Australia, Russell Crowe was involved in a minor altercation at the Mercer Hotel earlier this morning. After asking the front desk several times to replace a faulty phone in his room - and getting only attitude from the clerk on duty - Crowe brought the phone down to the front desk in an effort to address the situation in person. Words were exchanged and Crowe wound up throwing the phone against the wall. He regrets that he lost his temper, but at no time did he assault anyone or touch any hotel employee.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

The publicist's statement reminds me of "Mr. Burn's side of the story" in an episode of the Simpsons when he runs over Bart.

I think Mr. Crowe learned from Michael Jackson's pajama court appearance and decided to shower, shave and dress before heading off to the pokey.
I sing for myself. I sing when I want, whenever I want to, just for me. I sing for my own pleasure. Do you understand that?

Oh pffft...
He's always beating someone up in a pub in Australia.
He was in court not too long ago...
I feel sad that I live not too far from him...

I just saw him in Cinderella Man and he was great. He played the part of Jim Braddock in an almost humble way. What a kick to hear about his temper which it seems quite well known. So is his arrogance. It is a shame because he is a good actor.

of breaths we take, but by moments
that take our breath away."
"Life isn't about how to survive the storm,
but how to dance in the rain."

I agree that he is a talented actor. He seems to get a lot of sh*t on this board from people. But, all in all, something needs to be done about his temper. He will seriously hurt someone one day, and probably over something stupid.

Oh, Russell, Russell, Russell. Karma's a bitch, ain't it?
He's such an amazing actor, and it would be so much easier to like him if he'd just stop being such an ass in real life.

I have a question - supposedly, he threw the phone from a considerable distance. Why the hell didn't the hotel clerk DUCK???? Sounds like someone WANTED to get hit so they could file a nice fat civil suit.
But I'm sure no on EVER intentionally does things to raise the temper of very rich celebrities with reputations for having a short fuses.

Has anyone seen the picture of the victim's face? Apparently there is a gash three inches long.
