SKINS: Its even better than Spring Awakening -- well almost :) — Page 3

Skins season 1 and 2= the best thing of my life. Season 3 was a little lack-luster in comparison, most likely because of the new characters. Freddie didn't develop as much as I would have liked him to. But the lesbian storyline was interesting. The ending seemed kind of like the end of a teen adventure movie to me. Not my favorite but not horrible. Can't wait for season 4. If there is a season 5, I don't think I'll be able to handle another change of cast.

That Mitch Hewer is quite the hottie.

Watched a couple more episodes last night. I am completely addicted to this show now. I am SO invested in these characters. Seriously, one of the best shows about teens ever made.

I wish American tv shows were brave enough to do this kind of show. Our "teen drama" is GOSSIP GIRL.

There is going to be a season 5, with another cast change. I protested along with everyone else at the first change, but understood why they did it...however, it hope they continue the new cast to University rather than repeating the same years over again...they need to grow with their audience, not alienate them.

Apparently there are talks for a Skins TV Film, which would be fantastic. Maybe including old and new cast?

I do like SKINS a lot, over in the UK (and now US) it's a breath of fresh air amongst the other teen dramas like The OC, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210...all of which are unrealistic and quite clearly created by adults. Skins is made by young adults FOR young adults. It has its flaws; the occasionally poor writing, the daft story lines and the sometimes cringeworthy acting - but its not pretentious or condescending, it's about as 'real' as a teen drama can be.

Plus, the actors are the age they're SUPPOSED to be. Take note Hollywood!

Got the chance to meet Freddie (Luke Pasqualino) and Thomas (Merveille Lukeba) a few months ago when they hosted a night at a local club...nice guys, very much enjoying the female attention .

A few of my friends have had encounters with the gorgeous Mitch Hewer (Maxxie) and despite him proclaiming to be straight - he was giving off extreme gay vibes each time. There's hope!

Just started watching this show. To me, it's like a more clever Glee and Spring Awakening fused together. Mike Bailey, is spot on. I think he's a brilliant actor. I'd love to see him do some Broadway stuff.
