Will anyone be watching? The 90's was my favorite SNL decade. I can't wait until 9!

I shall be watching. I'm amazed by all the former cast members they've gotten to be in this special.

ETA: I love your avatar, Freckles! I adore Cheri Oteri.

I know! I was watching the videos on the nbc.com and the commercials and I love these people.

"Now she wants to know WHY, if I'm so fabulous, I would WANT to take care of her child.....I answer with as much filigree and insouciance as I can muster, trying to slightly cock my head like Snow White listening to the animals. She, in turn, is aiming for more of a Diane-Sawyer-pose, looking for answers which will confirm that I am not there to steal her husband, jewelry, friends, or child. In that order." That was a great special, I didn't want it to end. Such a fun walk down memory lane. That's the SNL I grew up with!

I loved it!! I wished they showed more sketches, but I guess they only had 2 hours. But, it did hit the most important stuff from the decade. I miss all of those cast members so much, except Darrell of course. I'm so happy Molly is hosting on Saturday! I can't wait to see what they come up with for that, but you know they will do Mary Katherine Gallagher. They have to!

I enjoyed this special, although I agree that they should have had more sketches and less talking. I also think they should have focused more on poor Phil Hartman, who was highly underrated. But I loved SNL in the 90's. Next best SNL decade after the 70's, of course.

I don't think Phil Hartman was ever underrated. He was always regarded as brilliant.

SNL in the '80s was my fave.

I enjoyed the show, but would have wanted more full sketches. Just a bit of 'a van down by the river' isn't enough. I give them credit, however, for speaking openly and honestly (I assume) about all the off-the-air network fighting that went on.

I agree, Chris Farley's death gets a few minutes of focus but Phil Hartman doesn't even get a minute? No offense to Farley, but that annoyed me a little. It amused me how so many people kept bringing up Sandler but he couldn't even show up. I love the SNL 90s, but they could have focused 2 hours on 90-95 as far as I'm concerned. Loved, loved, LOVED those years! It scared me how I still remembered every word of the Steve Martin monologue song.
