Dunkin' tastes like dirt.
Starbucks is over priced but delicious.

I hate Dunkin Donuts doughnuts, but I love their coffee. I like Starbuck's coffee drinks, but their coffee tastes a bit like an ashtray to me. Although, I must admit to not liking Starbuck's Fraps, anywhere near as much, since they discontinued malt.

I constantly have to put tons of sugar in my coffee when I get it from Dunkin.

Dunkin' Donuts has the weakest coffee in existence. Starbucks is overpriced and only okay. For all you people in NJ, one of it's few redeeming qualities is WaWa. WaWa coffee is the best coffee ever.

I prefer Starbucks by far.
and I can't believe that at one time, Dunkin had good donuts. Now I wouldn't eat one if you gave it to me.

I went to Dunkin' a few weeks ago on a Sunday because I had to work and was running too late to make it to Starbucks. I ordered an iced coffee and I swear I had to ask the girl if it was tea, that's how weak it was. So gross.

McDonald uses better coffee beans than Starbucks.
Starbucks roast their beans too much that the beans are burnt.

Oh, CS brings up another good point. You can't put in your own milk, etc., at Dunkin'. You're at the mercy of their staff understanding what you mean by "a tiny bit of half and half." And trust me, they don't.

Everytime I go home I say I'm going to stop at Timmy Ho's again, but I keep running out of time to do it. Maybe next time :-P

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of either. I used to love starbucks, but their drinks are just too sweet for me. But then, I agree that dunkin donuts coffee is too week.

I live just a few steps from a Dunkin Donuts, but I rarely get coffee there. When I used to get coffee there, it was pretty lousy.
Put it this way...out of every ten cups I bought, one was good, one was tolerable, and the other eight were disgusting.
And there's a nice Starbucks near enough. I like their coffee and I really like the fact that they offer raw sugar. I hate plain old white sugar...blech.
There are a few independent local places...all are in the same price range or more expensive that Starbucks, but most are inconvenient for other reasons. One is annoying because a lot of rude people and derelicts monopolize the tables out front and the coffee isn't really so much better that it's worth running the gauntlet to get it. One is just too far away to bother with. One used to be good, but they suddenly changed all of their drinks and my favorite iced cafe au lait is pale and watery now.
There's a very good place on my street...their hot and iced coffees are amazing, but I have reason to dislike the owner. I used to work there and loved the job. But he needed to fire someone to free up a job for his boyfriend and I was the one sacrificed.
So, I either make coffee at home or treat myself to Starbucks...which is where I'm headed right now. My partner drank the whole pot this morning so he owes me something from Starbucks.

I've never been to a Dunkin Donuts (somehow have never run into one while traveling, and we don't have them here), but I've had their bagged ground coffee and it's pretty good. I haven't had enough of Starbucks' ground bagged coffee to compare.

Yeah, their ground coffee is pretty good. They must water it down when they serve it.

Dunkin coffee is SO watery. I usually make myself some Dunkin coffee in the morning before school days. Is Starbucks ground coffee better?

Do people realize how expensive it is buy coffee by the cup versus by the pound and brewing it yourself?
I mean, if you really love coffee... why not just make it the way you love it, put it in a carrier and be done with it? If you have time to go to Starbucks (or wherever), wait in line, order and pay and then wait for your drink and then prepare it... then you have time to brew your own while you shower BEFORE you leave in the morning.
I guess people are just lazy. Or stupid. Or both. Suprise!

P.S. This may be THE MOST Unpopular Opinion I hold...
