No chocolate chippy for you! Turns out it was all bulls**t.
A new book exposes it all
United States of Tara was better anyway.
Something seems "off" in this article. I'm not saying there wasn't some bullsh*t involved, but they seem to "know" things that went on (or didn't go on) that they couldn't possibly know. Motives, thoughts, change of hearts.
The fact that Shirley ("Sybil") denied everything halfway through her treatment and said she made it all up is actually in the book and TV movie. It was a defense mechanism. I think the info about Dr. Wilbur is fascinating, and she definitely sounds opportunistic and more than a little nutty herself.
But so does the writer of this new book and the writer of this article. It's bullsh*t begetting more bullsh*t. Sounds like everyone involved from start to finish had an agenda.
I don't know what to think about that article.

At the end of the day, Sybil, whether real or not, has NOTHING on some of the folks we've seen around these parts.
