That is very sad - his Standing Room Only is one of my very favorite cds.

I agree jasonf. His Standing Room Only cd is wonderful. His "Bring Him Home" sublime.

For those of you "Broadway bent," he's on the Sondheim at Carnegie Hall DVD and CD.
I always thought he had a terrific voice.

So sad. So very talented. Here's wishing him recovery, although that seems unlikely.

Was it an attempted suicide?

best12bars- Thank you! I was trying to think of what I knew him from. Did he do part of "Pretty Women"? Or maybe I'm confusing him with someone else. It's been awhile since I watched that DVD.

Thanks, Hamlet. I asked because someone mentioned a "waning career." That's too bad.

My father wondered whether that was like an air guitar.

Air rifles and blank guns can do a lot of damage if they're pointed at your skull.
I remember John Eric Hexum (bit hottie '80s heartthrob) died when he jokingly shot himself in the head with a blank pistol.

I had no idea they could do so much damage.
By the way, I'm confused about something. The police department said that they did not expect him to get better. Does that imply that he will die, or be permanantly brain damaged?

I'm very saddened to hear this.
I performed with him in a couple of concerts and he was not only a talented singer, but a generous and wonderful man.
My heart goes out to him, for the despair he must have felt to do something so drastic. And my heart goes out to his family.
This is tragic news.

This news has left me almost speechless. I had the good fortune to work with Mr. Hadley on several productions, including a season at Lake George Opera where he first started ( I was an apprentice techie , 16 years old)
He was one of the sweetest men and incredibly talented.
Damn, life sucks sometimes.

Very sad news. I saw him perform Des Grieux in MANON at City Opera about 20 years ago - gorgeously sung and acted performance.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
