Knowing how SNL beats a premise into the ground I daydreamed how much I'd like to see a series of these sketches- Tom Hanks farting during the courtrooms scene in Philadelphia, Oprah in the Color Purple, Julie Andrews in Sound of Music, Maryl Streep in Sophie's Choice....

Black Eyed Peas were the only reason to watch. They were phenomenal. I love that the musical guests on SNL are getting bigger, better showcases this season.

I will say Seth Myers' Weekend Update is improving some. I still miss the Tina/Jimmy days (and the Tina/Amy days, for that matter).

I was sorry she wasn't a better host, as I like her. I will say that at least she was a trouper and she kind of seemed to know it was a lost cause, which I always find endearing. I didn't feel uncomfortable like I do when the guest is just so deer in the highlights freaked out, like Annette Bening was.

I have nothing much to say as I fell asleep fairly soon after the Rear Window sketch (oy), but I have much more faith in next week's episode, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt hosting!

"Oh I thought it was far from the worst. I didn't know who that woman was who hosted, but so what. I laughed at things she wasn't in. Like Kathy Lee and Hoda, Rear Window, how to host a party. and I enjoyed the Black Eyed Peas.

I thought she made the only somewhat decent one (which she was the star of--odd no one noticed) the How to Plan a Party--but it was just her playing her Mad Men character.

I love Jones, and find her underated but hosting SNL was obviously not her thing--and I agree with others that this was possibly the worse SNL in quite a while...
