"a sweet little girl who happens to love musical theater"
I suppose if that's actually what you see then I can understand your perspective.
That's not what I see at all.
At. All.

"How anyone can find fault with a sweet little girl who happens to love musical theater is beyond me."
How do you know she loves musical theater rather than hates the whip her mother is wielding?

All I can say about this is "yikes".
And I agree with Bluemoon. I would not plaster my 5 year old daughter all over the internet.

I knew I would leave out the funniest one. That's even better than her doing "Foxtrot."
But you have to admit--her "Welcome to Kanagawa" would be jaw-dropping.

My question is this; from looking at a video of a little girl who sang and danced "Broadway Baby" for all of five minutes how do you judge her parents. Granted the dance moves were a little awkward and her singing wasn't perfect but because of that her parents are at fault. It's a kids talent show. I can understand people being against children's Beauty Pagents but this was a talent show. I thought this board was for Broadway enthusiasts.
So what if her parents are encouraging her or even pushing her, she seems happy enough.

I have to say I agree with Radiata, which I gather is an unpopular opinion. But as far as I am concerned, when it comes to kids, I'm sorry, young people, young people should be given a wide berth to explore their feelings, to try out new things, to fail sometimes, to succeed at others. I believe they only deserve the support and nurturing of older people and nothing less and that people shouldn't ever, ever trash young people who are just getting their wings. How will they learn to fly if supposedly older and more mature people do not support and defend their every utterance, tap or leg cross?
Honestly! It's almost enough to make somebody not want to hang out around here so much anymore if that's the way it's gonna be.

Namo, you are so right. I hang my head in shame. You've made me see the light.
Of course this little girl's parents are only supporting her wishes and desires. And when I see the documentaries of those beauty and talent pageants with the toddlers in full makeup, false teeth and several wigs on, I should also remember it's their idea, and NOT the parents. It's NEVER the parents' fault when you see tiny children looking and acting like adults.

You're just jealous, Jane, cause you were never on "Pimp My Toddler," or whatever this show was called.

You're right, reggie. The best I got as a toddler was being on Howdy Doody and Clubhouse Gang...
