Yeah, I'm becoming more of a "Sam man" myself. I sat across from him on the subway around Christmas time and nobody seemed to recognize him but all I could think was "Damn, baby let me see that ass in person". He was with some woman though. Gross.
I finally watched Epi 1 & 2 from season 1 - jason - YUMMMMMMMY! dumb as a rock, so as long as he didn't speak life would be perfect! :) And Sam is a cutie. Not feeling Bill though. I'm just waiting to see my Alex S!
Bill doesn't really do very much for me either.

The show has been picked up for season 4!
Next episode supposedly has a sex scene that has "never been seen before on HBO". Incredibly vague but I wonder how possibly outrageous it can be. I have heard 'primal sex' thrown around.

"Oh. That. Yeah, I watched six episodes of the first season and gave up. What boring, stereotypical characters!"
Too bad, I think they fleshed some of the characters out as the season went on. I love how Lafeyette has so many masculine and feminine qualities.
And I love Tara, too, when she's written as a strong character, which unfortunately she wasn't throughout most of season 2.
ESSENCE.com: Do you find yourself defending Tara against accusations of portraying another angry black woman?
WESLEY: Some people think she is, but what interests me as an actor is what's underneath. For Tara, it's that small child seeking validation. We don't know where her father is, he's never on the show and I have my own backstory that I've created in my head. It's also nice see her alcoholic mother get her life together and eventually Tara will have some happiness. But in life, we're not happy 24-7. Alan's lets the characters be happy for awhile and then the weeds come in.

I think Bill's dreamy.
I like Aleksander Skarsgaard more than Eric. The whole "making her drink his blood for no reason" thing was kind of rape-y.
I heard about this "never seen before on HBO" sex scene. If the rumors are right it is going to be quite intense and not everyone is going to be a fan (spoiler.....it is rumored to be between Lorena and Bill)...it might boarder on disgusting and outrageous at the same time
I saw the actress who plays Arlene (Sorry, I don't know her name) while I was walking my dog yesterday. I would have stopped her to say how much I love the show but she had a kid with her and I would never stop anyone who's out with their kids. But she's very pretty!
I feel like I would do something so different with every man on TRUE BLOOD....
Marry Bill
but see Eric every week
And in the morning when I put the leash on Sam and take him out for a walk...
The actress who plays Arlene is Carrie Preston and is married to Michael Emerson from Lost. I keep on imagining those two living together in the characters of Arlene and Ben Linus.
I just finished watching the second episode. I lol'd when Anna did a Bill impression of how he says, 'SOOKEH!!".
I watch The Secret Life of the American Teenager for reasons I have yet to figure out. The actress who plays Pam on TB plays one of the parents on Secret Life. Every time she's on I want to say, "RUN!!!!" lol
At the dog run this morning I met a dog named Sookie. Love it!!
well that was disturbing...good episode but the next new episode isn't till July 11th
Wait a minute. If a vampire can just glamour someone into inviting them in, that's not much of a rule to have.
Yeah...I was kind of thinking the same thing.
And when Bill *spoiler* turned her head around all I could see was Meryl Streep in Death Becomes Her.
**Very Vague Possible Spoiler** The ending of the episode really was disturbing on so many levels.
it was very disturbing....I am starting to really like Franklin...love the dry humor

Am I the only one underwhelmed with this season so far? I found myself losing interest quite a bit tonight.
I don't get the hype over the sex scene. The neck thing was comical and the sex itself was only a little rough. It was not at all as graphic as people were making it out to be. I laughed.
Yeah, what was with that neck thing. Was it really necessary? I think the scence could've done without it.
Well. Didn't she basically rape him by ordering him to make love to her?
** SPOILER ALERT for Season 3 Episode 3 **
What was most disturbing about the final scene with Bill & Lorena was my "reaction" to it. It generated major "wood" because Lorena is so friggin' hot. The woman is obsessed with Bill Compton. She broke him again emotionally and he responded by attempting to break her physically, right, wrong, or otherwise. They returned to the primal in a way no human couple is encouraged to attempt.
For a moment, I reveled in the excitement of it all because Alan Ball and company had finally re-attached Bill's stones after last season' castration.
Bill Compton made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure Sookie's long-term safety by surrendering the remaining vestige of his humanity. Lorena, on the other hand, is so smitten that she'll take him warts and all, along with the emotional detachment. Perhaps art does indeed imitate life.
Why can't Evan Rachel Ward bring a fraction of Lorena's grown-up sensuality & fatal attraction to Sophie-Ann's character?

Sometimes it seems like the creative forces behind the show just make things up as they go along. There's one scene in the 2nd season where Maryann and Daphne interact in the diner and there's not even a hint that they're in cahoots. Then later in the season there's a scene where Maryann makes everyone in the diner act up and Sam is one of those people, even though Daphne says in like the next episode that Maryann can't get inside the heads of supernatural people.
It seems like Alan Ball feels that the show shouldn't have to make sense because it's "popcorn entertainment" or something.
