But yes, I agree, the stuff is toxic- I don't even want to begin discussing what is in fast food.

Tonight I had to get from my temp job to my dance studio scholarship job in a half hour. They aren't that far from each other, but they are in a packed neighborhood, so getting through all the people at rush hour is rough.

I decided to pop into Burger King for a very quick cheeseburger to carry me through the evening. There was no line - just one person in front of me, so I thought I was set. Well, it took them EIGHT MINUTES to make my damn cheeseburger!! At which point I had to choke it down and it was ridiculously hot. A very unpleasant meal that almost made me late to work.

Dangerous. Indeed.

Even if you ignore the stuff they place in it it's filled with empty calories. And that's not at all good for you.

Eating McDonald's one time after a long period of not doing so is a strong reason why I'm starting to lose my taste for meat.

I posted this on the banal thread a few days ago.

I had stopped at Wendy's on my way home from work because I was starving. I just wanted some fries. There was 1 car in front of me so I went through the drive through. I heard the lady on the speaker tell him the price and it was 36$!!!!!! So, I had to wait 15+ minutes for them to make his food and then mine. Ridiculous. If you're going to order like 10$ or more, you should have to go in.

Better yet, they didn't give me fries- they gave me chili. I knew I should have looked before I pulled away. grr.
And there is no way in H*LL I am eating Wendy's chili.

I won't even begin to tell you what I heard burger king's hamburgers are made from.

You can hardly call the burgers at McD's meat. Particularly when it's about 1/3 soy filler...

I'm on the fast track to cutting out meat all together. The whole BK fries thing is going to be a problem.

Eh...I wouldn't go with the extremist bastards of PETA for your meat information...

But yes, feces and discarded animal parts are in your hamburgers. It's sad how this is common knowledge at this point, more than 100 years after THE JUNGLE, and yet these fast food empires still grow and grow...

I am not sure I would 100% trust an advocacy site from PETA regarding the contents of food in fast food restaurants.

That site only mentions the deplorable conditions animals are kept in when farmed - which is deplorable but not what you were providing a link for.

Not that I eat at many fast food places - I pretty much stick to El Polo Loco, but I am not sure a site from PETA is going to give you an unbiased report.

Okay, I think that most fast food, is just disgusting. Especially when you don't want to go to a fast food place but you are forced to by the rest of the people in the car even though YOU KNOW it's disgusting and you order ONE small milkshake and your world falls apart because you find a weird looking hair in it and almost puke. I mean, I just hate fast food. It tastes gross and you never know what could be in it.
