The YouTube footage of Seth Green freaking on set security personnel after what he said was a parking lot mugging that circulated early this week was met with a lot of skepticism, mainly because Green is a bit of jokester and self-parodist, and the harsh reality is that we live in a viral-videos-and-prank-shows-who-cried-wolf America, where even 9-1-1 operators have been known to respond to frantic phone calls with, Your mommas choking on a chicken leg my ass is this Punkd? I know this **** is Punkd. Ashton Kutchner, come on outta from behind that mirror! But PopEater has posted a new video, revealing wouldnt you know it Seth Green being mugged in a parking lot. Weve stacked both after the jump, so you can experience the entire, unsettling affair. Seriously, 400-lb security guard. Quit moving tables and protect your elfin stars!

It's homophobia.
He needs to lighten up. They were probably just after his Lucky Charms.
I like Seth and it's certainly awful that he got mugged, but my first reaction to seeing that video is "Oh just shut already and take a freaking Valium".
I agree. Being attacked like that is extremely upsetting but he does need some meds.
Or at least lay off the blow for awhile.
I know - how dare he throw over the craft service table!
"Seriously, 400-lb security guard. Quit moving tables and protect your elfin stars! "
Seriously, how is it the crew's fault?
Interestingly, it's exactly the way he acts when he's playing "Seth Green" on "Entourage."
I'm afraid I wouldn't have believed him either.

LOL victim blaming.
I wonder if so many people are coming down on him for a (fairly mild, given the situation) outburst because dude's elfin and it reminds people of a child throwing a tantrum in the grocery store. Like they can't view the reality of the situation because in the back of their mind they're thinking "that unruly ginger kid flipped over the sample table! I hope his mother smacks him. I wanted that cheese on a cracker."
Actually, I think knocking over a table and storming off like a petulant 2 year old is always a rational expression of anger.

I don't think people are always rational after being attacked. Maybe I've just been around too many bitch fits and table flips, because I don't get the big deal. Especially in a post Bale Out America.

Not at all. I have no idea he's elfin. He's an adult acting like a toddler.
I wasn't coming down on him; I was just saying that, unfortunately, I wouldn't have believed him.
But I will come down on him now. If someone I worked with came into our place of business, announced that he or she had been mugged, then started screaming at the security people and turning over furniture, I'd be the first to testify against them at their sanity hearing.
Plus, who's blaming the victim? No one said it was his fault.
No, it wasn't his fault. And a mugging is a terrible frightening thing to happen to anyone.

Eh. Whatever you guys say. I just think it was an understandable emotional reaction in the context of a traumatizing experience, especially when you wonder if it could have been prevented by those whose job it is to keep people safe on that specific property. I can't take the hard line of "there's no excuse for bad behavior" because I've behaved badly under trauma and I'd hate to think that people had no compassion for that just because I didn't remain composed and respectful. If I'm ever physically attacked I'll try and remember not to be totally gauche.
I haven't seen him on Entourage, but I know that when people play themselves on TV they're usually portrayed as wildly different for comedic effect. I've mostly heard good things about the guy, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Plus, who's blaming the victim? No one said it was his fault.
I wasn't being totally serious with that phrase, which is why I did add the LOL. It's just that everybody (I mean, internet wide) seems more focused on chiding him for his reaction and it comes off as totally dismissive of the reason why he behaved like a little bitch.

Just a side note, Craww- I'm not sure whether the crew who were moving tables were also contracted to follow Seth out to the parking lot to make sure he was safe out there. Seriously.
Was it mentioned whether they were parking lot security?
I think they were Jane, and in all honesty they should have gone out even if they would have missed the incident( as it happened very quickly).
They obviously weren't paying attention to the camera.
Even so, Mr. Green was a tad over-the-top.
Ok I see., thanks. Well, if they were parking lot security, they should have been at their posts. They may have been able to prevent the mugging, and they do share the blame.

You know I really don't know if he was just venting and taking it out on those guys, or if they were affiliated with general security, or what.
Anyway. We can commence with the Lucky Charms jokes.
Even so, Mr. Green was a tad over-the-top.
Yeah, I guess. Like, I still don't see the big deal, but that might just be because I've seen so much worse in the context of my own life and the people I know.

When did Christian Bale come out? I should pay more attention to TMZ.

I'm glad there's never been a camera on me after an altercation/mugging/etc.
Craww, my point in mentioning his performance on "Entourage" was not to say that I think he's like that, or that he's a bad person--merely that that (along with his predilection for practical jokes) probably contributed to the original notion that it was a put-on.

Yeah, I mostly got that. Fair enough, really. It's actually totally believable that he'd stage something like this exactly, since his own obvious vulnerability is such an easy target.
I think it would have had slightly better production values, though. Just a bit, not so much that it's not believable.
So, this proves the old adage "Seth Green can't even get MUGGED in this town!" slightly incorrect.
