Seussical audition song help!

My school is doing Seussical this spring and I'm auditioning for either Mayzie or Gertrude. I'm trying to find a song that isn't too overdone but works for the ingenue type (Gertrude) and the sassy, bold type (Mayzie). I have so much sheet music that it's a bit overwhelming to pick the perfect song. I'm 16 and I have a very wide range but I mostly do soprano or mezzo/belt. One of my go to songs is 'Breathe' from In The Heights but I don't it works too well with Mayzie's personality. I really appreciate any help :)

Funny you mentioned In The Heights because the song I'd recommend is a song I might do for an upcoming In The Heights audition for Nina; I'm Not Afraid Of Anything from Songs For A New World

A really good character piece is "Party Dress" from Henry Mudge. Not much heard of.

My opinion may be too late, but I'm thinking Somewhere that's green (little shop) as a good Gertrude audition song.
