Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:22pmI have to admit, that's pretty much how I feel about him. If he had died 15 years ago, I might feel differently, but for the past decade or so he's been nothing but a sick freak.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:29pmI agree with the article also. Michael became a monster. Whether corrupted by his family, wealth, power, or his own mental illness, he became a freak show and it seems the damage he has done on people will live long after him. I do feel sorry for the cluster mind F**K that his kids must be going through!

Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:29pmThe question that nobody asks: if you are a parent, why would you let your child go to a sleepover at a grown man's house? Even if it is a well known star, doesn't it seem a bit weird?

Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:31pmI think any parent that allowed that bears just as much responsibility as MJ if anything happened. You would have to be INSANE to let your kid sleep over there. It's so sad how people will do anything (even put their children at risk) to glom onto someone famous.

I didn't remember that it was Jordie Chandler's STEP-father and mother who brought him to Michael's bedroom, and that the biological father was the one who went to the authorities.
But I had no idea that the father had been beaten and intimidated, presumably by Michael's thugs.

I think it was MJ's close friend Elizabeth Taylor who was once quoted:
"Fame is the greatest deoderant".

I too was sick of all the coverage, I mean we don't need to hear what Miley Cyrus thought about him. We know he's the king of pop, we don't need to be told in 5 different ways on loop.
However, there's probably as much validity in that story she told of a 'friend' as there ever was in any part of the child abuse scandal with MJ.
I agree that parents letting their kids play with a random grown man is beyond weird, therefore it must have been because he was famous grown man...which begs the question - how far do you reckon some would go for attention/money? Probably seeing an opportunity with that documentary discussing his odd relationship with kids, and going with it.

I dunno, Joe. I think her take goes hand-in-hand with Namo's.
The way I see it, Stasi is taking about what Jackson became AFTER and Namo was talking about what Jackson went through before.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:49pmEh, that book looks boring. I'll wait for the Lifetime movie starring Valerie Bertinelli and David Alvarez.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:50pmI look at it like taking your child water skiing in shark infested waters. Who is at fault if the shark thinks the child chum?

Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:51pmBrilliant casting, Jordan. But you'll have to work in an Angry Dance for Jordie if you're casting David Alvarez.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 3:54pmOf course there will be a dance but I was thinking more of an angry moon walk stomping through puddles of red Jesus Juice so we can actually FEEL the anger as the red covers him in his ballet of fury.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 4:01pmI was kind of hoping the dance could be to "My Strongest Suit", personally.

Does Stasi think she's being incredibly controversial or revelatory? If she honestly thinks the press and major celebs (including the first African-American President in history) is not going to go on about this for weeks and eulogize a person who is commonly known as one of the most beloved international superstars in recent history is just idiotic to the point of baffling. Is she so new to this country that she missed the non-stop coverage of the death of Anna Nicole Smith? And yet she seems somewhat surprised and repulsed by THIS?!?! And it's not even as if she has some sort of original viewpoint.
OK, I said it -- and it's about time somebody had the nerve to say what millions of people must feel and believe about the once-talented black man who turned himself into a white woman before turning himself into a monster.
But you'd never know any of that if you'd listened for the past week to the endless prattle from the sickening, fawning media and all those Hollywood music phonies who were crying crocodile tears over someone they'd mostly avoided like, well, a pedophile.
Well, thank God we have Stasi to tell us something we haven't heard before! I mean, I agree that Michael turned into something repulsive and definitely suspect over the last 15 years, but so have the throngs of entertainers and media as seen by the endless prattle of Michael Jackson bashing over said 15 years. Where has she been all this time? And how has mankind ever evolved without her?

Posted: 7/2/09 at 4:31pmShe's not new to the country. She was born here. Brooklyn, I think, maybe Staten Island.

Posted: 7/2/09 at 4:33pmWell, Staten Island is sort of it's own little world.
