I will surely look at Shia different after this. This guy needs some serious help!
So, apparently, Shia LaBeouf had an "interesting" childhood and he felt the desperate need to share it with Playboy magazine. Dr. Phil was busy!
He shares some interesting tidbits about his past, including his parent's frequent drug use and his Mom's tendency to walk around naked when his friends were around.
In the June issue, he recalls how weird it was having his "little buds over and Mom's, like, playing naked connect the dots or whatever." Creepy!
And sometimes, she wasn't even alone: "She's in the middle of goddess-group time, where it's literally a bunch of naked women tracing auras around one another's bodies with incense and then sitting together and humming for prolonged periods of time."
On top of living in a nudist camp, he also recalls his parents liberal attitude towards drugs. "Marijuana was always around."
But perhaps the most disturbing fact to come out of this little one-on-one was that Shia loves his Mom WAY more than a grown man should.
"Probably the sexiest woman I know is my mother," he says. "She's an ethereal angel. Nobody looks like that woman. If I could meet my mother and marry her, I would. I would be with my mother now, if she weren't my mother, as sick as that sounds."

Maybe it is because I am older, but, I don't find all of this "disturbing". They were hippies and lived in a nudist camp and smoke a lot of pot. The remarks about his mother being sexy are a bit disturbing though.

I don't find any of it disturbing. Sounds like a bit of projection going on to me.
why do none of them show his mother? naked.
Sounds pretty creepy to me.

Let's see - Not being afraid of the body's natural state? Not thinking that pot is a direct line to the devil? Acknowledging that your mother can be a vibrant, attractive and even sexy woman - even though she's your mother?
Sounds American to me, not dusturbing.
Well . . .
q, i think it's more the idea that he finds a woman sexy...
Spank that monkey~
lol, Jane!...Now THAT movie was creepy!!

I meant to say UNamerican.
"Jimmy Carter sinned IN HIS MIND!"
This was the part I felt was kind of creepy:
"Probably the sexiest woman I know is my mother," he says. "She's an ethereal angel. Nobody looks like that woman. If I could meet my mother and marry her, I would. I would be with my mother now, if she weren't my mother, as sick as that sounds."
I'm thinking Mr.Joyboy in the loved one here.

LOL, Jane!!!
Let's see...
Childhood full of nudity? Not creepy.
Acknowledgement of one's mother as a beautiful sexual being? Mayn't float everyone's boat, but not necessarily creepy.
Expressing genuine sorrow in a public forum at being unable to marry one's own mother? Yeah, see, there was a line, and that... that's just a wee bit over it. :P
Shia and his Mom.I think it's great he is close to his Mom and that he can say how beautiful she is and how great she is. However, there is such a thing as loving your Mom and "loving your Mom". Just came off as a little creepy, that's all.
So, he's having an issue with finding someone as sexy as her? Where the hell is he looking?!
JohnBoy, I was thinking the same thing.....

Not everybody can be a Miss California.
And I guess I just don't feel the 'genuine sorrow' in his statements - but that's just me.
But I'm a godless, child-hating heathen, so no one should be surprised.
We're not, Q!!!

Wow if that's the kinda woman Shia finds sexy, I'm putting on my wig and heading to Cali! I definitely got a shot with Shia!
Nah, I'm with you, Q. I feel like there's an underlying bemusement in that quote, not "genuine sorrow." I don't find it creepy. In fact, I think it's almost impressive that a guy his age would throw caution to the wind and say something like that, as evidenced by the overreaction (not necessarily talking about you, romantico, or anyone specific). Then again, I'm not easily shocked, to say the least, so maybe I'm just not getting it.

I honestly thought of Joe Gideon in ALL THAT JAZZ talking about his mother, which I also thought was charming and lovely.

This is great. At least it makes him way less boring.
One of my favorite parts is that he really favors her (here, I mean it in the resemblance sense) so there's a touch of vanity to the statements too. What a good old fashioned psychological cluster**** this kid is.
Now imagine that same interview through this mouth.

You do realize, despite the sensationalistic response of the ridiculous tabloid Star Magazine (I won't even address that Perez individual,) the interview was for PLAYBOY - whose famous interviews have prompted even Dame Julie Andrews to proclaim, "Maybe I could ball the band"?
