Will the Giants do it?

CNN reports they are seriously considering it. They won without him & Eli may go back to his bad habits if Shockey is constantly demanding the ball.

The Giants should keep him unless they get a really good offer. After what happened in the playoffs, Shockey should come to the realization that he is not as important as he has deemed himself to be. He's still a valuable player to this team.

They thrived without him, why not use him on draft day to get another draft pick?

Jeremy Shockey is a problem in the clubhouse. I've read reports that he is very vocal against Eli Manning and frequently talks him down in practice and even in the huddle.

If these reports are true, I wonder how much of a coincidence it really is that Eli excelled about the same time that Shockey was no longer with the team.

I also found it very telling that he wasn't on the sidelines with his teammates during the Super Bowl but rather up in a box.

If they can get a 2nd round draft pick for Shockey, I think they'd be better off cutting their losses.
