Which of the 34 Springfields in the U.S. is home to Homer and his clan? A winner's been announced after a heated contest among sparring states.
And the winner is.......
Is anyone else a little sad that they killed off this running joke by naming a real town?
I'm pissed it wasn't Mass.
I agree, Taz.

I'm still going to picture Ohio regardless or any other mid-America town. I think they just wanted to attach the name to anywhere to gain more publicity.
Kinda like when they told us who killed Laura Palmer on Twin Peaks.
The show was never the same after that.
ahh.. ben, jerry and homer.
It should have been Springfield, Illinois.
Nice RobbO, and that's why Springfield, Bucks County, Pennsylvania DID NOT WIN.
i would have voted for springfield, new jersey over PA anyway...
Their video sucked. The guy playign Homer sounded like Scooby-Doo more than anything.

It just means they're hosting the movie premiere in VT. It doesn't change the show, which, I hate to tell you guys, is a cartoon and doesn't take place in the real world.
It does too, Namo! Didn't you ever see the "Behind the Laughter" episode?

I wasn't clear. What I meant to say was the contest was just to decide which Springfield got to host the premiere. It doesn't mean the show will henceforth take place in Vermont.
And of COURSE I saw that great episode. "When I heard it was about RAISING AWARENESS ...!"
Namo, you shattered my dreams, man. My dreams!
