Posted: 8/31/06 at 2:30pmI don't there are any strict rules as what to follow as to what to eat and drink. Everyone's voice reacts differently to different food and drink. I have a friend who can drink a chocolate milkshake right before performing and it doesn't bother her at all. I guess the best thing you can do is experiment with different foods and see what works and doesn't work for you.

I heard there were like 4 different styles of singing, italian, german, english, and one other, and each was a bit different.
Does anyone know what the differences are?

There's a lot of classical music in many languages. French is another prominant one, and Spanish has some too.
There are also non-romance languages. None of these are a 'style'. Some languages use different sounds, but that doesn't really make it's own style.

Posted: 9/9/06 at 9:16pmoh ok, that makes sense. i was just talking to this lady who teaches singing & she said she used the italian method, and named off 4 methods, and i asked what she meant & she said that the italians had come up with their own version of how to sing, and so it sounded like each of the 4 types had their own theories and techniques, so i was curious if anyone knew stuff about them.

Posted: 9/9/06 at 10:30pmThe main differences in the techniques lie in the languages themselves, due to different vowel sounds and phrasing.
