I kind of wish they'd done it as a kick off death...had him been somewhere where it looked like someone else was going to die and then had him start his spasm, etc.

Mabel, being set up to think one person is about to meet the grim reaper and have it turn out to be someone else. Maybe you haven't watched "Dead Like Me" and I shouldn't have assumed that you had.

I don't have Showtime, alas...But Six Feet Under's done that a couple of times, as far back as the first season (which I believe came before DLM, right?)...I think it was the last episode w/ the chick from Krohner golfing, looking like she was going to have a heart attack or something, but she ended up hitting that crazy chick's aunt w/ a stray golf ball. I wasn't sure if you meant the misleading death or the "kick off death" in general, since I've never seen DLM!

Sometimes they're pretty vague... like the time the couple was in the hot tub and the wife ran inside... I thought the guy was gonna drown or get electrocuted. But it was the wife...
