I received the complete series as a holiday gift, and just completed the entire box set. Having only seen a handful of episodes back when Bravo was airing the show in syndication for a hot second, I was completely in love.
And that series finale? Breathtaking.
It is truly a shame that Frances Conroy never won an Emmy for her work on the show. It's even more shameful that she lost to Mariska Hargitay after submitting the series finale for award recognition in 2006.
Any other fans around here?
Michael C Hall went from embalming bodies to manufacturing them on Dexter
One of my all time favorite shows. I've been meaning to watch it again (I got all the seasons for very cheap at wal-mart during college). The finale was the best way to end the show, and the best series finale I have ever seen. Lauren Ambrose and Rachel Griffiths were my favorites.
I love this show to death (pun intended).
David and Keith are my favorite television couple! They were so sexy together!
One of, if not the best, series finales in television history.
I'll go ahead and say it's the best finale of a TV show ever :-P At least for me.
This is also my all time favorite TV show. I feel like it was so revolutionary for its time, but it also holds up over time and it actually gains new meaning the older you get and rematch it. There are characters you start understanding more than others, and you side with someone more than you did a few years before you saw it. I think it's such a beautiful show and haunting and funny and immensely valuable. The entire ensemble is one of the best assembled for a TV show, such interesting actors, and the performances all so lived in and realized. My personal favorite was Rachel Griffiths, but Lauren Ambrose, Michael C. Hall, Frances Conroy, Freddy Rodriguez, and everyone else was great.
