I am not afraid to say that i cried when Ben was kicked off. it seems that not a lot of people here liked him all that much, but if you read the website his little survey thing said that he started dancing at 14 ("fast learner" lol).. and he's only 18 and absolutely amazing. the rest of the group has been dancing since they were, like, 3 or 4. this is why i loved him so much because i have exactly the same story. i started dancing at 14, now i'm about to turn 18, and am an advanced dancer. I was hoping he would stick around a long time to prove that you don't have to put thousands of dollars into dance classes since the age of 4 to be a successful and super talented dancer. he was an inspiration to me and other "fast learners" like me and he lost to one of the crappiest solos i have seen in SYTYCD history (Jaymz's).

oh, P.S. has anyone ever seen Pocahontas 2: Journey to a New World? doesn't Jaymz remind you of that tall Indian with the long name that travels as Pocahontas's body guard or something and runs behind the carriage? just thought i'd ask. i laugh everytime the camera is on him for long periods of time because that's all i'm thinking about :)

I really don't like Ivan..he did not do too great. On the other hand, Allison was awesome!

The clip is very funny!

So, tonight was the night for Dan Karaty to take a page from Nigel's book and be a little on the harsh side.

My top two were easy. The rest were a little muddled, especially in the middle. Here is my take on the seven couples, in order from top to bottom:

Donyelle and Benji were, by far, the best of the evening. Benji again proves his versatility and ability to entertain ... but tell me, has benji ever really loved a woman?!? re: So You Think You Can Dance

Heidi and Ryan ... my out loud comment to the television was, "Yes ma'am!" Despite Dan K.'s overly harsh critique, I think Heidi is flying under the radar and consistently doing an outstanding job.

Natalie and Musa were hot, but it was ALL Natalie.

Jessica and Jaymz did a good job. I think Dan needs to remember that the average American viewer doesn't know the difference between hip hop styles. They looked good.

Martha and Travis may be good technically, but they bore me. There is little "oomph."

Allison and Ivan ... once again, Allison was the number. She is mismatched with Ivan.

Ashlee and Dmitry ... this is was a tough routine to judge, and I don't think it will be enough to keep them out of the bottom three. Placing them at the bottom is less about them as dancers and more about the choreography and style.

For Dmitry's sake, I would like to see he and Ashlee in the bottom three along with Allison and Ivan. That way, Ivan and Ashlee can go home, leaving Dmitry and Allison to dance together.

I still don't get all the Ivan love from the judges. I thought he was awful last night. Allison was working her butt off to keep it interesting. Ivan was just barely making it through the steps.

Benji and Donyelle keep rocking the show. I would love to see Heidi and Dmitry paired up together. I thought Jessica ad Jaymz looked great. It was very early 80s old school hip hop. It took me back. I liked Martha and Travis, though Travis was a bit forced and Martha was tentative. She looked like she was uncomfortable in heels. Natalie and Musa were ok, but every Disco performance last season was better executed and more exciting than this one.

My bottom two would be Allison/Ivan and Martha/Travis. Travis would be paired with Allison, which I believe to be a better match.

I still love Benji the best. What a great attitude (talking about his demeanor, not his ballet technique!). He and Donyelle have great chemistry and get along so well. It shows in their dancing. The Dmitry/Benji clip was classic.

I thought Heidi did surprisingly well with the hip hop routine. I can see where the cheerleader remark is coming from, but I thought that judge was a bit harsh.

Ashlee and Dmitry. I don't think I much cared for the choreography. It was hard to judge, because the choreo was a bit bizarre. I think Ahslee may be in danger of leaving.

Allison and Dmitry would be a good pair indeed.

Based on solos alone, I think they made the correct choice for the boys as well, but I don't understand how Ivan stayed!

It keeps partners intact for another week.

oh yay...there's a thread here :)

Gotta say: totally agree on the 2 that went home....though I was shocked to find *SPOILER* Heidi/Ryan and Alison/Ivan in the bottom three. I would have put Ashlee/Dmitry there with Martha/Travis.

I'm pleased to see how much Benji/Donyelle love there is on the various internet boards!!! yay :)

I glad that Jaymz & Jessica are out. They were def. one of the weakest couples IMO.

Benji & Donyelle are def. my favorite. They have amazing chemistry on & off stage. Their dancing is phenomenal.

Benji ♥ He is so adorable & funny! The Benji & Dmitry video = priceless.

I was also surprised that Ashlee & Dmitry survived. I'm getting sick of Ashlee. She's kinda annoying.

Good grief! How does Ivan keep staying? His solo was ok, but not better than Jaymz, who would've been the next to go anyway. I think Ivan is squeaking by on a cute smile, because it sure isn't versatility or technique. I thought Jessica was a no-brainer, however.
