I knows what I knows and what I knows is true. I couldn't care less if you or anyone else believes it. I'm not trying to win over converts or convince any one of any thing. I know and Taz knows and that's all that matters. Believe whatever you like.

I love how Liverpool/Chance has become Joseph McCarthy, accusing a beloved board member of being both Mossad AND El Muhammad.
Chanceypoo--you've finally lost it.
And, thanks, I had a lovely afternoon in Central Park. The weather was gorgeous, and we're going with some friends for Turkish food tonight.
But Chance/Liverpool/Luscious, you really got ugly today.

Gotta dash now kiddies and start getting ready for my night on the town. Enjoy yourselves. It was fun stirring the pot. Great way to piss away a few hours. Oh, and unlike Joe, I'm not going anywhere. I wouldn't give you the satisfaction. Like Obama and Biden, I'm in it for the long haul. Tottles for now.

Of course you are. You keep accusing someone of being a racist without offering any proof and you want us to believe what you say is true, just because you say it's true. That's trying to convince. You're doing a really poor job of it, but don't try to deny that's what you're attempting to do. It's very disingenuous. At least have the balls to admit it.

This is hilarious. He thinks you're talking about our beloved JoeKv, not the new VP candidate!
On another note, I guess "Joebama" will be the new DC version of "Brangelina."

"Words speak for themselves. And so do I.
If you have the words...then why don't you show them. Let us all see what you believe to be racist. Or are we not allowed to make those decisions for ourselves? Must we just take your very unreliable "word" for it?
Like I said, I couldn't care less what you beleive.
You keeps saying you could not care less...and yet you keep responding. Funny how one belies the other.

A few things.
I love the name Hadassah. I once dated an Israeli and always thought we should adopt a child and name her that.
I agree with JustaGuy's friends, too.
I wish the weather was nice here. It's humid and gross and neither Kringas nor I can stand it for more than a few minutes.
I'm sorry Taz is so racist. It hurts my soul.
It's over. Finally. I'm relieved. And now that there's no question, I'm ready to just rally behind the candidates some of us voted for and some of us were given.
Wasn't Taz in the KKK?

If you're talking about the "Krazy Kooky Kids," that zany, madcap band of renown...yes, Taz was in that.

After being disappointed about it not being Hillary or Richardson, I'm thinking it could be alot worse. After a day of news and reading about Biden, I like him, he has spunk. Obama needed something or someone to take McSame to task. We'll see how it turns out.

Still wish it was Hillary. I like Biden more than Obama. I even like Michelle more than Barack. Why not have her run? What happens if Biden sounds and acts more presidential than Obama? Sort of thinking that may happen.

That's a good point boyfromohio, he's got an excitability that Obama has been severely lacking lately. Lately he's appeared very dull in public. Biden will certainly liven things up, although, I'm sure it won't always be for the most positive reason. Biden is exactly what Obama needs to respond to the childish BS that McCain keeps running in his ads. Bidens loose lips can also work in Baracks's favor because since he is known to sometimes speak before thinking if he says something that could be considered harsh about McCain or any of his surrogates most people will likely not may much attention to it and just say its Biden being Biden, and thats what this campaign needs to do, let Biden be Biden.
I too was disappointed at first as I was hoping for something like Richardson or Clark or Sebilius (sp) but someone earlier posted in one of the threads about Biden's record as it pertained to the HRC and that was something that was pretty impressive. Is Biden the most exciting pick? Certainly not. Is he a safe pick? Yes and No. Is he a pick that can shore up support with demographics that Obama needs help with (white working class folks)? absolutely, and honestly, that's the purpose of a VP candidate in the campaign. Not to mention, Biden would make a fine president if God forbid it was necessary for him to step in.
One last thing to add to my long and rambling post. As someone else mentioned in one of the many VP related threads, Biden brings an important intangible to the table, his son that will be deployed to Iraq (I believe) with his National Guard Unit. While it may be unseemly for some of you to admit it, this gives Barack a bit of a barrier against attacks against his patriotism and the patriotism of the party and its members. The republicans wouldn't dare attack a candidate who's child is at war on the war and if they ever did they'd be painted and inhuman and unpatriotic by even the most wing-nutty republicans pundits/talking heads.
and I'm not. I'm honestly not sure if any of that made sense cause I'm rather exhausted but i hope i got my point across clearly.

From the Libertarian Party:
Dear friend of liberty,
A text message arrived at my phone this morning announced that Democratic Senator Barack Obama had selected Delaware Senator Joe Biden as his running mate. I looked at it, said, "No surprise there," and went back to sleep.
After all, there isn't much to Biden that the public doesn't already know. He's a career Senator with more than 30-year history of being a "Congress critter." Biden is not only a part of the political establishment, he's a senior member of it!
In fact, Biden has only spent four years working in the private sector after graduating from college.
As our acting Executive Director said, Biden's pick was "predictable and typical."
Biden is a bit of a loose cannon that should make this election season a little more interesting. He's notorious for being a narcissistic windbag, making testy, off-the-cuff comments such as, "You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent," or, when he said in response to a question about what type of grades he received in law school, "I think I have a much higher IQ than you do."
Obama, who has constantly been under the microscope for elitist-sounding comments, has picked for his V.P. a man that also can be criticized for the same.
But what about his voting record? Though being mostly middle-of-the-road, Biden's record in Congress displays a track record of big spending and big government.
The following are just a few of the things I found:
Voted against an amendment that would prohibit the use taxpayer money for abortion.
Voted for the economic stimulus plan that costs taxpayers billions.
Voted to prevent drilling in ANWR.
Voted against eliminating the "Death Tax."
Voted to increase the minimum wage.
Voted for McCain-Feingold.
Voted against a moratorium on earmarks.
Voted for hate crime legislation.
Voted for No Child Left Behind.
Voted to spend $48 billion overseas to fight diseases in foreign countries.
Voted against protecting firearm manufacturers from lawsuits.
Voted for using federal funds for anti-gun activities.
Voted against making English the official language of the United States.
Voted against limiting taxpayer subsidies to AMTRAK.
Voted for punishing states that did not comply with motorcycle helmet laws.
We just wanted to let you know our take on Obama's pick, and thank you for your continued support of the Libertarian Party!
