Not a stroke, and given a clean bill of health.
But this has to be nuerological. I hope she sees a specialist.
Has anyone ever encountered something like this? I'm just curious what some of the possible causes could be.

But seriously, I've heard others mention aphasia?

TV's Frank? Must follow.
It's odd. You can see in her eyes that she knows something is wrong, but she just keeps talking.
I wonder if she could tell the words were not coming out properly.
I hope they did a full neuro exam. It's obvious there was some sort of brief temporary apraxia going on.
Serene Branson had a 'complex migraine,' not a stroke, doctor says
I was reading about temporary speech issues within the aura of a migraine yesterday. I suffered a very brief loss of vision before a migraine once. The docs said it wasn't that uncommon. Migraines are a bitch.
She will be giving her first interview tomorrow, on a local TV morning show.
I'll give you a report.

I used to get migraines a lot but have only had one full blown one in the last year. However, in the past month I have had two days of migraine aura that never went the whole way into the full on deal. I have to say, I likened it to having a radio stuck between two stations. Signals are reaching the brain but they're off. It's hard to describe and I wish I could do so better.
One other time that happened to me a couple years ago when I was posting here and there were several obvious errors in my posts (I know! By ME! In MY posts!) and man did some bitches pick up on them and gleefully point them out. NOT that I didn't have that coming, but karma can be a beeyotch.
Earlier this week I was dashing off a quick reply to a Facebook comment and misused it's/its. My mistake was quickly (and also gleefully) pointed out in less than a minute. What can I say? You live by the sword, you die by the sword.
Watching that video, my heart really goes out to her. I think the scariest thing most people can think of is not being in control of what we're doing. It makes me sick people (not on here) are mocking her and making fun of it when honestly just seeing the look in her eyes while speaking breaks my heart.
That was the most horrifying thing for me with the video - some people said she was just talking and didn't realize anything was wrong, but you can clearly see it in her eyes. She knows what's happening but doesn't understand it.
Thankfully, I haven't seen anyone actually making fun of her. Even in the snarkiest forums most people have expressed genuine concern for her well-being.
I just saw her on the Today show. She definitely knew what was happening. How terrifying that must have been!
StockardFan, I saw that too, and how sad when she said that even she realized what she was saying wasn't making any sense. I can only imagine how terrifying that must have been for her.
A Migraine Aura was the cause.
The interview is very in depth. She never had migraines before and was trying to say,
“Lady Antebellum swept the Grammys”
She said her mother had the same type of symptom years ago so they knew what to look for. She was checked head to toe and they are 95% sure it wasn’t a stroke.
Who knew migraines were hereditary?
And yes, the look in her eyes says it all.
