A friend who was over had never seen THE EXORCIST. He kept asking when it was going to get scary. Then he was scared to walk home.

@ Pal Joey- watched Ticked Off Tyrannies a few months ago. I thought it was fun and much better than I thought it was going to be.
Reminded me of my college days when I wanted to be a renegade film maker and change the world!

It irks me that AMC censors their movies--I had forgotten till I caught some of their Friday the 13th marathon.

Strummer, I thought the Haunting remake had sunk without a trace--I saw the original was on this week (but I think it was on TCM), but luckily didn't come across that mess.

My neighbor has a marathon of the Halloween films every year, so in spite of the incoming hurricane, I caught 1, 4, The Return of Michael Myers, The Curse of Michael Myers, H20, and Resurrection. Also watched the original House on Haunted Hill, which was laughable.

I've long been afraid of scary movies, but in the right environment, I can just laugh at some of them. Still can't handle the newer ones like Scream, Saw, Paranormal Activity, high gore or high suspense- it's too much.
