Steve Carrell, Ellen Degeneres, Billy Crystal or Whoopie Goldberg.
Wishing that Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were still alive - goodness, me - they'd have been such a terrific duo hosting!

Doesn't Bruce Vilanch write the jokes for Billy, Goldberg and Williams? I would rather watch it with him doing it.
Have you ever seen his one man show at WESTBETH THEATER?
The man is the perfect host and if he could bring say:
Charles Busch, Harvey Fierstein, Ellen and more it could be a very entertaining night.
Vilanch is more than funny tee shirts!

I was probably the only person who adored Jon Stewart tonight.
I did love the show when Whoopi hosted.
How about Tina Fey? She is incredibly hilarious and has plenty of experience with live TV.

I am entirely tired of Billy Crystal hosting, and hearing about his greatness. He was ok, but I found him over the top, especially that last time he came back.
I'd like Steve Carrell, but I have no doubt that the same people who have been hating the show of late would continue to hate it.
The honest answer is: a bunch of people sitting around getting gold statues handed to them and congratulating themselves is not very entertaining. No matter who the host is.
I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Have any of you seen his one man show about 10 years ago.
The man is funny and a great host.
I didn't watch the show this year except for the Enchanted number. I usually am addicted but I didn't see many films this year.
