So, What's Everyone Doing For Madonna's Birthday?

Yes, my fellow homosexuals. The day of the birth of our Lord is almost upon us. August 16th is the date our glorious savior was brought into the world.
I shall be listening to every one of her albums while at work and than spend the evening with her films at home.
'Tis a glorious day.

Celebrating my Grandmothers 93rd birthday the same day...yes my grandma is the originally Madonna...born in Italy on August 16,1911. She tells me this everyday too..."you thinka I wassa borna yesserday??? I wassa born Augusta 16,1911". Funny to think of my Grandmother as a gay Icon. She did ask me one day.."are you doing piggy things with men?" Of course I said "No Grandma, just with one man." That kept her quiet for awhile.

That's kinda cute, actually. I might have to ask if someone wants to get piggy with me.

As a sign of my boredom, I'll join whatever is the latest religious fad and hope it will get me more publicity to boost my latest tour. When I'm bored with that, I'll do something controversial. When I'm bored with that, I'll have another baby, get another divorce and move to another country.

I'm so bored.

(just kidding)

I'll try acting again.

Well, Matt. If that's how your life is going you could always follow Madonna's lead and only do amazing work.

Gettin' Piggy With It is a Will Smith song that I've always liked. Wait - maybe Kermit sings it...can't remember now...

It's a birthday, Broadwayguy2. Not a time machine.

To celebrate Madonna's birthday, I will study Kabbalah and change my name to Esther. Also, I am Jewish so I can't do piggy things with men. It isnt kosher. I just fool around with them so I can get jewelery.

That reminds me of something from Hollywood Squares -

Tom Bergeron: Whoopi, is Viagra Kosher for Passover?
Whoopi Goldberg: Not if it leads to pork.

I thought Madonna was amazing until around 1989. After that, I lost interest. She's reinvented herself so many times, I feel she no longer has an identity.

re: So, What's Everyone Doing For Madonna's Birthday?

She is SHE, the one who is great and to all others, she shall be knownst as the Lord, Our God. On the day of 16, in the month of August she was delivered to us to lead us and guide our souls.
Thus, this is her identity. The true identity of the savior.

I'm not a Madonnanite. She had some fun songs in the 80s, but after that was extremely hit-or-miss. I can't recall a single song from her new CD ironically named "American Life" considering she chose to live in England.

Yes, Mister Matt, we all got you dislike Madonna. Now WHY are you once again raining on our parade in our thread? We don't give a crap what you think about her. And all you are doing is perpetuating her icon status BY talking about her--bad or not. You can argue until the cows come home, you will never deplete who and what that woman is.

I will listen to some Madonna tunes. Maybe watch a concert. Who knows? Maybe go to Cold Stone and get some Birthday Cake Remix!!
